As a Patriots fan, I was really hoping the Pats could travel to the Meadowlands and get a win on the Jets home turf. Obviously, the Patriots are the better team, but they have a maddening habit of making mediocre quarterbacks look great and they were coming off a blowout win on a short week. So I was optimistic, but never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the pure joy I experienced watching that massive spanking last night.
I cannot stand Rex Ryan - I think he’s an arrogant blowhard whose family connections have risen him higher than he ever deserved to go, who makes bad decisions and stubbornly refuses to change his mind, and who just cannot keep his stupid mouth shut. So it was pure delight to watch his team get absolutely embarrassed on the national stage. Every moment of Jets suckitude was like more delicious gravy on my stuffing.
Special shout-out to Cris Collinsworth, who was hilarious in the booth: “Mark Sanchez is gonna start chanting for Tebow soon.” Gold!
