NFL Week 15

Wow. Just Wow. I cannot believe how many Dallas meltdowns had to happen to allow the Packers to come back to win that game. Credit to Flynn, Williams, McCarthy and the rest for not giving up at all, but Sweet Jesus! Dallas is horrid. Jerry Jones deserves all of this, but my God, they are a malfunction waiting to happen. I do feel a bit bad for Tony Romo, but hey, it’s a win.

This implies that Romo gives a shit.

Wow. What a comeback. Man, the Cowboys are chokers.

Dez leaves the field with 1:38 to go. Punk should get docked pay.

I can’t believe I missed that Packers game, but I have earned a ton of good husband points, helping my wife with a holiday event. Anyway, I know if I had watched it would have turned out different.

Yeah, I saw Bryant leave the field too. What a schmuck.

First that Lions game, now this one. As a Bears fan, except for their performance on this past Monday night, they really haven’t been helping us at all in the NFC North this year. Not that it’s on them, but that’s two colossal collapses against NFC North teams this year.

Anyone know how this ranks for Packers comebacks?

Brian

According to news reports I’ve read, it matches their biggest comeback (23 points) in 1982 against the LA Rams.

Thanks for not. I actually missed everything but the very start of the 3rd quarter, and had all but given up. I did get to watch the parts they showed on NFL Redzone and the final drive, which was amazing. I may have to hunt you down and force you not to watch if the Packers can get into the playoffs though.

Goddamn. I hate Jay Gruden sometimes. We get a nice nine yard pickup on first down, and instead of just running a normal run play on second down and a half yard behind that mauling offensive line, we get cute, almost give up the interception and go three and out…and then due to the wind, bobble the punt and set up the Steelers for an easy TD on the one yard line. Fucking pathetic.

Hmmm, only one team has failed to put up points in a game (two games) this year. This rollercoaster from season to season gets a bit annoying. Take home the Lombardi, a couple years later you are playing for draft position.

I have a question: all the media says that the upcoming game is the last at Candlestick Park for the 49’ers. But IIRC, it’s still possible, albeit extremely unlikely, for them to be the NFC #1 seed. If that somehow happens, wouldn’t their home games be at Candlestick?

Yes, I think you’re expecting far too much accuracy in reporting from the typical blowhard on TV.

Jesus tapdancing Christ on a pogo stick that hit on the Bengals punter that knocked his fucking teeth out was dirty. Typical Stealers football. Fuck.

Looks like the Bengals punter either a) had a tooth knocked out, b) had a tooth broken, c) bit through his tongue, d) bit through his lip, e) all of the above. Tough break for the guy, that’s going to suck a lot, but I’m betting he wasn’t using a mouth piece.

Also, will be interesting to see what the league does with that hit. Looked to be damn close to clean. The helmet was a little high, it certainly hit the chin/bottom of the facemask, but it wasn’t really targeted there. That said, considering it was a borderline hit on a horribly mismatched punter he’s probably playing this game for free at least.

Yikes, left out broken jaw from the list. Bad times. The fine just went up and now includes a suspension.

The Seahawks have to win against either the Cardinals or Rams at home to lock up the #1 seed. Yeah, next Monday is the 49ers last game at Candlestick.

First, those are two awesome defenses and the Rams just pushed the Saints shit in today. Second, even as the top wildcard they could still host a game if the NFC championship matchup is the 49ers vs the other wildcard.

To all of you complaining about the Candlstick (mis)report, I think “regular season” was understood.
