The seahawks weren’t as bad as their start last week, they’ll reliably beat the 49ers.
As much as I enjoy a good Bengals thrashing on national TV, the Browns have the Houston first and second round picks this year. I’ve gotta root for that team to totally shit the bed. Imagine if they’re just horrible this season and get a top 5 pick… except they don’t actually get their top 5 pick, or their second rounder. That would hurt.
Need an opponent for a home opener in your BRAND NEW STADIUM? Call Green Bay Packers at 1-800-FU-SCHEDULER. Defending NFC Champs, new stadium…yeah, this could suck.
The Bengals let Whitworth and Zeitler go in free agency, and didn’t have a plan to replace them at all. They moved a guy who was one of the worst tackles in football last year from the right side to the left tackle position, and can’t be surprised when he absolutely sucks. And Fisher, while young and with upside, isn’t a whole lot better on the other side. I think almost any Bengals fan saw this coming.
ETA: This is a really bad game of football to watch.
Browns getting 7.5 at Baltimore? I’ll take those points, thank you. They didn’t look as terrible as I thought they would against the Stillers and the Ravens’ performance against Cincinnati was, well, against Cincinnati. Wow, the Bengals suck.
Pats only giving 6.5 to New Orleans feels low. Brady is out for vengeance. Saints defense could not hold down Sam flippin’ Bradford and they’re on a short week. Pats win by 3 TDs.
Josh Gordon is completing a ridiculous 90 day rehab stint next week. Anyone who can tolerate 90 days of rehab psycho babble should be reinstated immediately. I don’t care what he smokes or what he drinks, just get the best players out on the football field.
It was the right move. The three biggest issues the Bengals have had during this miserable start have been bad offensive line play, Dalton’s poor play as a result and making bad decisions with the football, and finally the awful playcalling. Zampese’s offense was overly complicated in terms of the sheer amount of plays for each defensive situation according to Dave Lapham, former Bengals guard and now a member of the local media, and that his offense was reactionary to what the defense was showing rather than punching first and setting the tone.
Taking John Ross out of the game after his fumble when your offense badly needs a spark was just fucking stupid. The guy is a first round pick, an obvious playmaker and the fastest man in the NFL. WTF?
This was actually the first time in Dalton’s career that he’s posted back to back turds like this. The four other times he played so badly that his QBR was 50 or less he had great followup games. Not this time. His QBR for the Ravens game was 0.6! He didn’t even get a point!
Also, it’s time for Marvin Lewis to go. He’s stale and mailing it in, and is a TERRIBLE in game coach. I guess you can’t fire him midseason and manage to get someone better at this stage but for the love of God Mike Brown, do NOT renew his contract after the season is over.
And finally, if Dalton is playing poorly again against Green Bay, bench his ass by halftime and put in McCarron!
This is, umm, delightful? An NFL spokesman said Friday that an unknown number of unnamed players have been suspended due to positive tests for human growth hormone, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
I guess will will be trying to guess whom, this week.
I often wonder about that guy. I mean…WHY has he stayed with such a bad team for so long? Obviously he’s well paid. Maybe he has family in the city and likes it there or something. You’d think a LT of his caliber would have moved on to more winning pastures by now. Dude’s a stud.
