Weird doings at the start of overtime in the Pats-Jets game. The Patriots won the coin toss, and the captain said (seemingly accidentally) that they wanted to kick. He tried to reverse himself, but the ref wouldn’t have it.
And now, the Jets are a few yards away from scoring a TD on their opening drive…
ETA: Jets win. Wow, that’s a fuck up, coin-toss-caller guy!
I don’t believe you ever pick to kick. You pick either to defer to the second half (68% of the time this is the choice) in which case your opponents likely pick to receive. Or you pick a direction to defend in which case ditto.
Does anyone know what the numbers are for how often the first team to receive wins in OT since they implemented the new OT rules? It’s not inconceivable to me that the kicking team might actually have the advantage, though I suppose probably not.
Why should I? Can and his silly dancing and superman schtick have dominated sportscenter this year. Cam was also well known for his pouting when things weren’t going his way earlier in his career.
In case you’ve forgotten, I’m an Arizona Cardinals fan. The more Panthers losses and Cardinals wins will help us. Perhaps Cam should look at a true professional, such as Larry Fitzgerald, to see how to act on the field. And yes, I did call out Anquan Boldin for his sulking and me first attitude in Arizona.
