Don’t have time to find the lines or post much, but I saw there was no week 2 thread going so I’m starting one.
Last year, Jerome Harrison set the third best rushing record in NFL history (286) against the Chiefs. Now, against basically the same group of people, I predict that he’ll… mysteriously get 4 carries before being pulled from the game after making a big play, for the 27th time in his career. I’m going to burn the motherfucker down.
I think the Jets v. Pats game will be the fun one to watch. Lotta animosity, lotta blowhards, and a lot at stake. For once, I might actually be happy to see the Pats blow someone out.
And, oddly enough, I think the Rams v. Oakland game will be interesting. I think Sam Bradford, if healthy, is the real deal, but I’m wondering if the 3 picks last week were an aberration or part of his game.
I’m not horribly excited for the Packer game, mostly because I won’t be able to watch it today. If they lose, it will be a huge blow to their team, but, to be honest, I’m not seeing them losing to the Bills.
Finally, I want the Lions to beat the Eagles and Vick. It will be telling to see how Vick does when he’s actually game planned for and the front 4 of the Lions are pretty darn good at bringing pressure and containment. The LB crew though could be an issue.
The Cardinals have already had 5 penalties in their game and it is just the start of the second quarter. This game looks ugly for the Cardinals so far.
Could you elaborate? I live in that tiny little geographic region where the Browns/Chiefs game isn’t drawing the gigantic media scrutiny and hype that has caught up with the rest of the country.
Raise your hand if you had Miami beating Minnesota today.
Meekly raises hand.
Ok, so it’s only the third quarter, but the 'Finns are up 14-0 and look like they’re thoroughly outplaying a very vulnerable-looking Viking team.
ETA: And of course, right as I hit post Minnesota goes about 70 yards in three plays.
AETA: AAAAAND Favre throws another pick. I love it!
Steelers waived Leftwich before this game so they could dress an extra lineman, only to see Dixon go down in the first half. I hope Leftwich bends them over and fucks them in the ass on the contract if they want to sign him again.
