NFL Week 2 Discussion

Just an observation, RNATB. Football is a lot funner to watch without worrying about fantasy production. Just saying.

I am quietly doing a happy dance inside while Josh Freeman and my Buccaneers put a pasting on the Panthers. Bust, indeed.

Yeah, but discussing Favre’s exponentially increasing suckitude is timeless entertainment.

I think we’re going to see Max Hall for the Cardinals. Should be interesting.

Is Brandon Jackson hurt now too?

Yes it is! Another interception into double coverage. Nice work Favre.

Hee Hee Hee. Another Favre interception, throwing deep into double coverage.

And the Dophins insist on giving it back to the Vikings.

But at least they stopped the Vikings from scoring. Nice goal line defense.

It didn’t get any better.

Derek Anderson isn’t accurate and throws a lot of interceptions. Who could have possibly seen that coming? I mean besides anyone who watched him play before.

I know Matt Leinart is smiling somewhere.

Not looking too good for the Ravens, despite all the pre-season hype. They got an ugly win last week, and now an ugly loss to the Bengals.

Not looking too good for the Cowboys, despite all the pre-season hype. They got an ugly loss last week, and now an ugly loss to the Bears.

What the hell happened to Vince Young?

There was all sorts of bad, game-changing officiating in that Browns/Chiefs game.

Going back sort of to the catch/ground rules - in the superbowl when that NO receiver caught the ball, landed with it, and then had it kicked out by a defending player, it was called a TD - but basically the same thing happened in the 4th quarter to Massaquoi and it was ruled incomplete.

Checking the stats: Jerome Harrison - 16 carries, 33 yards, longest carry - 8 yards. That’s an average of 2.1 yards per carry.

Last week, Ryan Mathews ran for 75 yards on 19 carries against the Chiefs defense.

Yeah, I really don’t have an explanation for that. The right side of the line is banged up and sucks and he got hit in the backfield too much, but that’s too shitty of a performance to be an apologist for.

Are they trying to prove some sort of point by making Welker a TD machine?

Rams and Raiders is shaping up to be a Battle of the Sucky Teams. If it was possible for both teams to lose, this would be the game it would happen in.

dalej42, welcome to SuckTown. I think the NFC West is setting up an HOA here.

He left college. The NFL is a different game.

The Jets and Pats took their stupid pills this morning. So far I’ve seen a 15-yard penalty for a blow to the head of a defenseless receiver, a 15-yard penalty for a late hit, a 15-yard penalty for taunting and a 15-yard penalty for hitting a player who called for a fair catch.

The Chargers game is surreal.

My Broncos are actually playing well!
