Vick is the poor man’s Cam Newton.
Somebody tell me why Dunta robinson is still in the fucking game
Good question. Ridiculous hit.
All things considered, I think that was the worst punt I’ve ever seen.
Awfully tired of seeing Vick body slammed a second or two after throwing
Hey, if you ever considered rooting for the Vikings, we have an opening in the NFC North thread.
I’m guessing you won’t have to worry about seeing it any more tonight.
Don’t play.
Isn’t Vince Young the Eagles #2? Where is he?
Young is inactive tonight.
Injured. Hamstring. Kafka isn’t bad, and if Maclin makes that catch, he might have gotten it done.
This will definitely be one of those excuse games at the end of the season. The Eagles dominated for damn near the entire game until the Falcons started laying the cheap shots. A filthy, disgusting hit on Maclin by Dunta DirtyBird Robinson. Vick *spun down *and wrestled to the ground after throwing the ball before being touched. God damn it. God damn it.
Apropos of very little: When Kafka was at Northwestern, he interned at the ad agency where I was working at the time. I was asked to spend an hour with him, telling him about my specialization (strategic planning). Pretty bright guy.
Who figured Buffalo and Detroit would be 1 and 2 in points scored after week 2***? Course they do have a common denominator in KC.
***until the Rams score 70 tomorrow night.
Sorry, pretty bad doesn’t cut it - the Cards defence sucks. We’re playing a base 3-4 with outside linebackers who can’t get pressure (too old, too slow) and have two rookie cornerbacks who can’t cover anyone at the moment, as well as continually blow coverages due to a lack of familiarity with the defence because of the lockout (although I expect Patrick Peterson to get better). The Cards flat out suck on the defensive side of the ball.
At least they’ve got the Seahawks next week, surely they can keep Tavaris Jackson under 400 yards.
Didn’t see Newton much this week - he is accumulating a body of work though, so maybe he is legit. I still need to see him win a game or two before I am willing to call him the second coming.
Well, Andy Dalton looks for real-ish. He had a nice game but the Bengals still lost. The Bengals have not turned the ball over yet this season, forced two turnovers yesterday and still lost…Marvin Lewis is a TERRIBLE in-game coach. And going 1-13 on 3rd and fourth downs, several of them 3rd and 1…ugh. Kinda negates that turnover margin there, Bengals.
“The Eagles dominated for damn near all the game…” ? Sorry, which game were you watching? The one where Ryan threw four touchdowns and Gonzalez made the Eagle secondary look blind? Not saying the Falcons owned Philadelphia, and if Vick doesn’t get hurt they still lose, but you can’t say that they “dominated” the Falcons.
Dunta Robinson does need to get a huge fine, though.
Who was the Eagle DL that in the 4th had Ryan’s head cocked in his right arm and while Ryan was on the ground first forced him unnaturally forward and then threw his head backward toward the turf? While a physical game on both sides, that was complete bullshit. He should have been penalized with a personal but I’m most disappointed one of the Falcon OLs didn’t unload on the guy.
That was a pretty rough game, not simply hard fought but played in a manner by which a lot of serious injuries could have occured.
We are in full agreement with the Robinson hit, as well as his assholery. He should have been ejected, hell, he should be suspended.
But I’d be shocked if there was a fine for the “hit” on Vick. He was there as the ball left Vick’s hand, and I don’t think not letting go of a QB is worthy of penalty or fine. Even now, when every little thing is called, I haven’t seen one for “not letting go”.
And the Eagles lost because they gave up 35 points and turned the ball over 3 times., not because Dunta Robinson hit Maclin.
Steelers beat the Seahawks? Meh. Chargers got beaten by the Patriots? Sadface, but not unexpected.
