So, is Travis Kelce a net positive for the Chiefs? So far yes - but I can see his in-game antics costing them a game at some point. Reid was *pissed *at that taunting call.
He did the Titans game last week, and many people on that board had the same comment. He makes a great color man.
Looks like the new LA Chargers aren’t a great hit. The Dolphins aren’t exactly a great road draw especially since Miami is about as far from LA as you can be among NFL cities. Dolphins games in Miami often draw a lot of Pats and Jets fans from all the transplants.

The 49ers didn’t suck too badly! They took the lead in the 4th, and were in it right to the end. Progress!
I hope Eric Reid’s knee isn’t serious. MRI today.
Or the Seahawks suck more than they should.
The 49ers got 2 field goals that came out of Carlos Hyde runs where the Seahawks defense just slipped up. Hyde is good, was great this game. Without those runs the 49ers would have been absolutely not a threat.
The rain was really bad, both QBs had trouble with accuracy and many passes were dropped on both sides (though I still think Tanner McEvoy should be on notice for his drops which should have been easy even when slippery). The Hawks made good use of Chris Carson (who is surely their lead RB now) and Russell scrambled for a lot. Rushing was necessary for both teams.
Hawks O-line is still bad and will continue to be their weakness yet again. Hopefully they can at least rise to “mediocre” soon. An elusive QB, good RB, and good receivers can compensate for a line that’s okay but not great. We’ll see what happens next week.
Do you realize how stupid this sounds?
…That Hyde was the only good thing about the 49ers offense? And was admittedly pretty awesome? What’s stupid about that?
Hmm… Just Googled the 49ers, first article I found pretty much agrees with me.

Let’s look again…
“Hyde accounted for 143 of the 49ers’ 248 yards on offense Sunday. He was the offenses’ only bright spot, with quarterback Brian Hoyer doing Shanahan no favors at quarterback. The Seahawks’ defense keyed in on the run while the passing game sputtered. That didn’t seem to stop Hyde, who continued to implement his trademark style of high-impact running to break tackles.”
I’m pretty stupid though.
Not that, the part where you think the two long runs can be disregarded. It’d be like me saying the Seattle offense was completely useless except for a couple fluke plays where Wilson broke contain and picked up a first down or tossed a TD pass. Those things still count, so do Hyde’s runs.
Other, better teams will be running with relative ease on the Seahawks defense.
Actually I wouldn’t argue too strongly against that criticism about the Hawks offense. Aside from that series that led to the touchdown it was weak.
I do take comfort when someone who calls me “stupid” thinks the Hawks have a bad run defense. That’s reverse praise. Just watch the rest of the season, I hope you have some spices that compliment crow.
I just want the Browns to go on a winning streak and Kizer to set all sorts of rookie records. I even have the t-shirt designed. “All fall when facing Kizer Soze!” With Kizer standing atop a pile of tombstones with the names of all the NFL teams he has beaten.
Watching the Rams being competitive and the development of Jared Goff is a great lesson in just how shitty a head coach Jeff Fisher was.
… and the 49ers were sorta okay last night. I’ll take it.
Late with the Week 3 thread, sorry.
