Does anyone know why Jacksonville doesn’t sign Tebow? The fans are clamoring for him, and he can’t be worse than Gabbert. I wonder if they’re afraid he might actually win a few games and risk getting Bridgewater next year.
Come again?
I picked the entire AFC West to win this week, and as a Broncos fan it feels weird to be rooting for the other teams in the division. But man the AFC West seems to look pretty good this year, even if the Chargers and Raiders end this week at only 2-2. It feels like all the teams are going to get some wins against the NFC East this year.
And wow, they’ve pulled Manning. Guess there’s no reason to have him out there, or the rest of the first team for that matter. It was so bad that Fox switched away from the game where I am to the Chargers game at the start of the fourth quarter, at which point I switched it over to the Red Zone channel.
Wow. I’ve been rooting for the Broncos forever, but would never expect this degree of domination. An all-time team scoring record? NFL records all over the place? It looks like the Broncos are holding all the cards!
Well, as someone pointed out (I don’t remember if it was Fox or the NFL Red Zone), the last few teams that have set season scoring records all failed to win the Super Bowl. It’s only week four; don’t want to get too overconfident.
Told everyone there’d be no problems with the Seahawks beating Houston
Wow! did Seattle suck on defense or what that first half. But it did prove Russell Wilson can come from behind.
OK I gots a question for football fans on the Dope. I’ve loved the Seahawks since the Jack Patera era. Franco Harris’ last season. Zorn and Largent. etc. I love the new jerseys but I’m afraid I’ll be thought of as a bandwagon fan if I wear one. Right now in the NFL Shop, throwback are not an option (we’re talking a professional build-it-yourself one.)
Am I overthinking this?
Don’t worry about it. Only jerks will think you’re bandwagon. I’ve followed the Broncos for 15 years now (I didn’t really get into pro football until high school) and all I have is a 10 year old fitted hat that’s too big (I mis-measured) and a fleece quarter-zip with a little Broncos logo on it. I haven’t even worn the hat in a couple years.
That’s how the ref called it, and it did look like he wasn’t pushed. If you have video, I’d be happy to look again. In the meantime: CBS News | Breaking news, top stories & today's latest headlines
Eh, total bullshit. You should have had six more points on the missed Cundiff kicks (bet you’re pimping Dawson now!) but that’s about it. The calls went against the Bengals too and that pass interference call you decried was clearly pass interference.
What you SHOULD be crowing about is the Brown’s defensive domination on AJ Green. Why Jay Gruden continued to try to force the ball to him was mystifying.
That said, and I hate to say it…I think there’s something wrong with AJ Green. He’s had a REALLY quiet three weeks in a row and I don’t think it’s because defenses are doing such a great job on him. There’s something going on with him.
There’s also something wrong with the Bengals defensive line. Aside from the Packers game (against a really shitty o-line), these high priced and highly touted players have been blanked. I don’t get it.
But good game Browns…you played a LOT harder than I thought and your offense is WAY better than people give you credit for.
All tied up in the AFCN.
Because it would be very hard to get rid of him… and Tebow just isn’t a quality NFL quarterback. There will be better options in the draft.
Huh, I agreed watching replay with the announcers that the basis for the call was questionable. I’ll take another look see if NFL channel does their instant replay show this week.
Ravens, Giants, Raiders, Eagles, Cowboys, Jaguars, Denver’s first six opponents look like the NFL’s legion of power  When they face the Colts, maybe they will finally find themselves a bit challenged (if I had said that last year, imagine the guffaws).
How long has Fox been putting the score/time graphic on the left edge of the screen? I normally watch on an HDTV, but today I was working in the garage, so I used our old SD TV to keep an eye on the game, and 3/4 of the graphic was off the screen, making it useless.
I think they were talking about the angle he took coming back in, not the forced out vs. out on his own power question. Let me know what you come up if you get a chance to rewatch.
Excellent no call on interference w/ Atlanta’s punt. In reply you can see Pat #32 hold the Atlanta player’s jersey and pull him into the receiver.
People are getting excited about the Lions’ 3-1 start, but all I can think of is the Marinelli-era 6-0 start, followed by 0-26 until her got fired.
My God, I love Tony Gonzales. What’s that? Eight maybe nine catches in the first half?
Two interesting notes from the Titans today. 1. Kenny Britt was inactive today, not sure if it is really due to his ribs or if Tennessee has learned they don’t need this knucklehead. 2. Chris Johnson with a whopping 21 yards today. What a waste of money that contact is turning out to be and why no running back will get that kind of money any time soon.
So, after Denver Destroys Dallas next week, the Giants could only be 1 game behind if they beat Philly; or could be only 2 games behind at 0-5.
Yeah, but then it was Jon “Spontaneous Jesus Fumble Hands” Kitna at the helm. The Lions will continue to do well as long as Stafford stays healthy, along with Reggie Bush and Megatron…
