What’s even weirder is the NFC East is 3-0.
I hate that I’m rooting for Tampa Bay tonight.
I’m hoping it drops to 3-1 when the Cowboy game is over.
AFC North is 3-1. Defending AFC champions Bengals suffered the only loss.
And nobody has a win in the AFC South.
I sometimes wonder if taking joy in a team struggling reflects poorly upon me as a person. But then I see Jerry Jones’ smarmy mug, and I’m OK with it.
Cowboys looked rather mediocre tonight. Prescott was…not good.
And Prescott will need to have surgery on his throwing hand and will miss several weeks. The Cowboys season is over as soon as it starts.
The only happen person in all this is Sean Payton; he just added a zero on to the end of the contract demands he’ll be making to Jerry Jones come January (or earlier).
It’s only football, you are fine.
It’s not just Sean Payton who is happy about the Cowboys struggling. We are legion.
I’d feel bad about Dak but months ago he signed a huge contract with lots of guaranteed cash. He’ll be just fine.
I still can’t believe the Giants have a winning record. It’s been six years. Not winning seasons, mind you, but any winning record in any week of the season. Six years.
Who knows, maybe they can draft some players for Daboll (like a QB) and make this more than a fluke.
Bengals rebuilt O-line still a work in progress, I see. They better get better fast or they’re going to get Burrow killed.
Yeah, glimmers of hope on offense. Nice to see a decent running game. But if the D is going to be giving up nearly 40 points every time it’s gonna be a long season (or a short beginning of the season before I choose an alternate team to root for).
Everyone seems to like Dan Campbell. An announcer at one point was talking about how Lions fans have embraced his philosophy and positive attitude. I’m not convinced. One of the announcers also said (pretty sure I heard this) that Campbell has given up play-calling. which he was doing last season. I think that was an improvement-- last season it seemed like the Lions were constantly going for it on 4th down, forcing it too much, and failing. Yesterday they went for it on 4th down a couple times, but they were both good calls, I (armchair coach solost) thought. There’s a time to go for it on 4th down, and a time to punt.
I was less than a year old at the time, incidentally.
Ha! From Reddit:
“Evan Ingram was the real curse. Was signed and played his entire 5-year career on the Giants and never once experienced a winning record. Now without him the Giants are undefeated.”
Aw, that’s so mean and bitter. I mean, I get it, I’ve been trashing him for years, but still. Ouch.
Wow, not a lot of defense happening here so far, huh?
2 sacks for Seattle. Unfortunately 2 dropped interceptions as well.
Geno looking impressive tonight.
Wow. Two fumbles at the goal line.
