Yet another Canadian team blowing a lead and losing, the lackey krokodil junkies Calgary Flames blew a 2-0 lead and lose 3-2 with, oh, about 15 seconds left in regulation.:mad::mad:
signed, Canadian who pulls for other Canadian teams in the play-offs when his team (in my case teams) don’t even qualify for the play-offs for, like, the thousandth trillionth time.
I can see Bolts fans next season just simply rolling their eyes as their team amasses yet another killer season. Maybe TBL should have a comparatively mediocre one, you know, for shits and giggles. Who knows - maybe a better play-off performance as a result.
Will the Sharks rise from the dead on Easter Sunday?
To use a baseball comparison, the 2012 SF Giants did it twice in the playoffs on their way to winning it all:
[ul]
[li]down 0-2 games to the heavily-favored Cincinnati Reds and Dusty Baker, the Giants swept the last 3 games to win the NLDS Series, 3-2[/li][li]down 3-1 games to the STL Cardinals, the Giants swept the last 3 games to win the NLCS Series, 4-3[/ul][/li]
And then they swept the heavily-favored Detroit Tigers in the World Series, 4-0 games to win the championship!
Steve Yzerman just named GM of Red Wings. I don’t think there’s anyone who didn’t anticipate this. Still, it’s official now and what a great hiring by the Wings.
Definitely the Islanders. First of all, no one thought they should be here – they lost their best player from last season, and ended doing much better. Second. they have no real stars – it’s a true underdog story with team play leading to their success. Third, when they win the cup, you can say, “Well, Pittsburgh would have been there, had they not lost to the eventual winners.”
Countering that, the Islanders fan in this thread is an asshole, talking about only seeing them 12 more times; he’s probably going to put some lame, colorful thing at the end of his post. But, that’s not the Islanders’ fault!
