NHL April+Playoffs.

That was an instant classic series. Total respect that both teams have for each other and how they played against each other. On another note, their respect at the end of the series totally un-did that lame excuse of a handshake line back in the Boston-Montreal series. I hope Boston and Montreal are taking notes for next year.

New York, you better play EVERY period in this coming series like you did that last period of your last game if you want the chance to reclaim that cup…otherwise…you’re gonna get smoked like a bratwurst.

Bratwursts are fried, not smoked. :stuck_out_tongue:

However, you can in fact fry a smoked brat, so…

2 quick goals for the NYR. Think they are seriously under rated in this match up.

2-1. Apparently the Kings want to be the 1st team to need 28 games to hoist the Cup.

Well, I’m not going to bed on time tonight I guess.

Nope.

Oof on that turnover. Nice job Kings.

What a shot. Wow.

I picked the Kings in 5 in my pool. So, I’m glad they took the pressure off me for the next game, at least.

I have to say, though I’m rooting for the Kings, I am liking the Rangers. It’s nice not to be emotionally invested .

My thought exactly. It’s nice to just be able to watch good hockey just for the sake of good hockey.

Of course, it’s much easier to say after having a couple of Stanley Cups in the last few years. I might be a little more grumpy if we hadn’t won one last year.

1967 anyone. Fuck. :smack:

I have seen analysis all over the place after this game. The Rangers showed they can play with the Kings and they are definitely in it, to the Rangers blew their best chance to win a game in LA and it could be a rout now. i think the game pretty much went to script, the Rangers are going to hang on depending on how well Lundqvist plays. The Rangers simply are not going to score that much, so their margin for error is small.

For my fellow Penguins fans, super fan Cy Clark, aka “Malkamania” died earlier today of cancer. Many of you probably remember him as the Hulk Hogan guy. (To the rest of you, it may not sound like that big of a deal, but Cy was a legend amoung Pens fans, and he’s going to be missed.)

The Pens have their GM and now need a new coach. Jim Rutherford hired, Dan Bylsma fired.

Well this will make the fans screaming for Bylsma’s head happy. They’ve been wanting it for a while now. Not sure who the canidates are to replace him, but hopefully they’ll get a new coach soon. Things are definitely going to shake up, which almost has to be a good thing. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Dunno if that was a good signing for Pittsburgh. JR hasn’t been build a dynasty here in Raleigh the last few years.

Oh oh. It’s like déjà vu all over again.

Or not.
