Nice little "Myst" like game

Alright, I’ve gotten pretty far, I think, but I’m stumped now.

I managed to get the life support machine working, fed the girl a soda, and got her hooked up to oxygen, which is now pumping. Her vital signs went from red to yellowy. I’m guessing I need to get her fully revived, so the two of us can pull the levers on either side of the door, but I can’t think of anything else I can do or where I can look. Any cryptic hints?

Little help with possibly the last puzzle.
I’ve gone down in the lift to the lower room. I’ve made the seahorse in the grid. But what is the rest of the pattern? What gives the clue?

Are there any objects to find in this room? I’ve clicked everywhere, but I can’t find any.

Does the blank page in the sketchbook have any significance?
Sorry, but it’s about “pixel hunting” so it’s hard to do a cryptic hint.

Cryptic hint:

Maybe one soda is not enough?

Less cryptic hint:

You need another token, have you looked everywhere?

Straightforward answer:

Second token is on top of box with electric breaker. Two sodas + oxygen should put her vitals in green zone. Now just try to open doors.

Ha! I know this one. So, returning favor

No hints are really needed. If you made a seahorse, then there is only one way to arrange rest of pieces in a way that all lines connects nicely.

Ah, thank you, I never would have found that on my own. Aside from that hunting, not a bad game.

Acck! I can’t find the rectangle with 3 triangles pointing out of it. Help, please?

ETA: False alarm. I found it. :o

I can’t find the first token, i guess? I found the one on the breaker and got a blue can. I have her hooked up to oxygen but can’t turn it on. All I have in my inventory is the notebook and the blue can of soda. Anybody got a clue for me?

Shoot, sorry 'bout that. Board went down before I could edit.

The girl has the other token in her hand. Have you figured out which number each of the four shapes represents?

Also, I reported your post so that hopefully a mod will come by and fix it for you.

ohh DUH. Yep, got it. Thanks!

See how you are!
You do know that’s the third of a series, right? The first is Terminal House, the second is Rental House. So thanks for three games, not just the one.

I recommend the middle game (Rental House) to anyone who enjoyed the Guest House game. (link to index for all three)
But, as for the first game (Terminal House):
If I wanted to play Guitar Hero (without music no less) I’d friggin’ play Guitar Hero!!

I drank the first energy drink after taking enough pictures to buy it. I then arm wrestled the robot for five minutes and still hadn’t won. If the only way to beat it is to go back and take enough pictures to buy the other drink (10000 pts?) then…okay the game beat me. I’ve given it all I’m going to. If that’s not the answer…

Well, I’m stumped on Terminal AND Rental House now.

In Terminal House:

I got the camera and USB cable, and hooked them up to the computer. It says No Data. I found a CD, but can’t turn the projector on; I think I need to find a power cord. I can’t reach the thing on top of the soda machine (why I can’t drag the chair over is beyond me), nor can I reach the projector screen.

And in Rental House:

Again, my problem seems to be in finding the second coin. I got the one in the sink (silver coin, got me the blue soda), but can’t find another. Already dumped it, the water, and the pill into the machine in the corner, and I discovered a number that I probably need to use on that machine once I add the red soda. I’ve also got a torn bit of paper with a design on it.

If there’s some logical clue I’m missing, I appreciate hints. But if it’s another case of not finding the exact pixel to click on, the feel free to be specific. I’ve practically broken my mouse trying to click everywhere.

Sir Dirx, in Terminal House

look under the sofa

gripe- Shortly after that you’ve got to play a couple of video games, which depend on fast reactions rather than logic. I haven’t got past the second one yet. :frowning:

And is there any way to turn that music off? And keep the sound effects, too, I don’t want to turn off sound on my computer.

And can you save your game?

Ok, yeah, I’m quitting Terminal House for good. That game is ridiculous. Back to clicking furiously for something I missed in Rental House…

For Rental House:

You should have two torn pieces of paper. One is in a drawer, one is under the safe. That might be enough to set you off in the right direction again.

And that’s my only gripe with these games - the serious pixel hunting. It’s a bit inconsistent and sometimes just outlandish. I have been told that pressing tab will run through the hotspots on a screen, but this has yet to work for me. Oh, and based on what I’ve seen here, I’ll just skip terminal house. Arcade style minigames just don’t belong in escape the room games, in my opinion.

Hooray! Thanks for the hint, and for posting the games in the first place. (I swear I clicked all over that damn thing. I suppose there’s always one item that’s nearly impossible to click and find, isn’t there?)

Now, no one else post any more of these games. I have exams I can’t afford to fail, ok? :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok Sir Dirx, close your eyes. Better yet - go study!

For all the rest of us who don’t have to worry about exams, this link leads to a good list of games of this type Escape Games at Jayisgames

I have played (with my opinion):

RGB, Sphere, Vision As already discussed here - in my opinion the best series overall.

Escape Game - Fun, worth playing

Jinja: The Shrine, Escape from Octlien, Escape from Island, Dr. Dokkoy - Excellent series that actually has a bit of continuity to it. A mixed bag of difficulty, but if you like the genre, you will probably like this set.

**Rental House and Guest House **- Two of a three part series. Have not played the first (Terminal House) and probably won’t bother.

Sphere Core, Cube Core, Prism Core - A well crafted series, but I don’t like it. There is some very niggly pixel hunting at some points, and the puzzles defy my sense of logic.

Escape Series 1-3 - These don’t pretend to be anything but what they are. In 1, you are stuck in a car. In 2, in a closet. In 3, which is my favorite, you are stuck in a phonebooth. Nothing extraordinarily difficult, but fun nonetheless.

MuseLock - I include this one because I started to play it. Unfortunately, it breaks a cardinal rule (in my opinion) of adventure games - you can die. It’s highly frustrating to be unable to experiment without fear of death and having to start over, so I gave up on this one.

Daymare Town - I couldn’t get past the weird artistic style of this game. Never made it very far into it.

**Mystery of Time and Space **- Fantastic. Perfect for anyone looking for a marathon experience. One locked room after another, yet manages to be fresh and challenging throughout.

The Doors - I really liked this one. Nice approach, straightforward but puzzling enough to make it worth your while.

**
Crimson Room/Viridian Room/Blue Chamber/White Chamber** - This series is really well done. My particular favorite was probably Blue Chamber because it actually had a bit of a story to it, even with a bit of emotional resonance. Definitely worth playing.

If anyone plays any of the other games, share your thoughts. I have a crappy connection so it’s always good to know whether it’s worth waiting for the games to load

Psst. Sir Dirx, you’re supposed to be studying!

So, I’m doing guest room.

I gave the chick both drinks and oxygen, yet she’s blue and still in the chamber…?

I’m still on Vision. I can’t figure out where the doll goes after replacing the head. Do I have to change his limbs? Does he go back in the drawer, or somewhere else?

Well, you finished the game. All that is left to go to door and pull left lever. Apparently she wakes up automatically and somehow gets out of chamber to pull the other lever.

Look at that strange lock-thing you found over sofa (where drawing of sea creatures was). If you placed two metal parts there, doesn’t remaining place reminds you something?
