Nip/Tuck 12/6

I’m surprised there isn’t a thread about this already!

I really enjoyed the episode last night, though it got a little too gory (skinning the old lady, for example). I predicted the burned lady they thought was Julia’s mom waking up, but I didn’t expect her to suffocate her! My mom thinks it was a mercy killing, I’m inclined to think Julia had already said her goodbyes and just didn’t want to deal with the old bat anymore. I wonder how she will deal with this later, or if they’ll just drop it.

I really hope they never ever mention it again. That would definitely add an extra dimension to Julia’s character

If I want to see plane crash burn victims, I’ll watch ER. Nip/Tuck needs to get back to the good surgeries and good sex. It’s just a shadow of what it used to be at this point.

Intense. I usually have to block out some of the surgery scenes, but I found myself blocking out about 25% of the entire episode. I thought it was very well done, I’m just not good at watching this on the screen. So, Julia’s mother is still alive, or was she just seeing things…? I’m gonna guess that she’s actually still alive. Which means, she killed… who? Yikes. She’s gonna have some serioius baggage now!

Has anyone been to the Carver’s Myspace site? http://www.myspace.com/thecarver
It’s pretty amusing, really. Apparently they keep switching the gender from male to female and other such stuff.

John Mace, IMO, it’s her real mom. But I have nothing to back that up, so it’s just a WAG

Not a bad episode, but they have way too many open threads and ongoing plot lines to throw in an episode that doesn’t really advance any of them with only two episodes left in the season. The whole season has been broad and shallow–lots of new story lines, but none of them explored in any depth.

I just hope they resolve a few things before it’s over.

Just watched the TiVo’d episode. I didn’t skim the gory stuff but I fast-forwarded through most of Julia’s goodbye to her mother.

If Christian can keep seeing Kimber, can’t Julia hallucinate Erica? I hope that’s what it was. Unlikely that two women would have the same plastic surgery scars and a diamond-shaped birthmark in the same place. Inn’it?

The contrast between the mothers was well-done. And any episode without Matt is a good episode.
