Tonight’s episode looks interesting. Who’s playing the old guy? I think he looks like Adam West.
Tech=Scientology. How long before CoS sues FX?
I hope you’re kidding. (Though Adam West is probably okay with the comparison.)
The old guy is Richard Chamberlain. Minor heartthrob of decades past, probably best remembered now as the naughty priest from the mini-series “The Thorbnbirds.”
Oh, Jesus Tapdancing Christ, they took my two most hated characters and put them in the most inane, suckiest suckfest that will ever suck of a storyline possible. It’s like the writers are actively targeting me to get me to stop watching. Look guys, I can easily switch over to Miami Ink instead, okay? Stop it.
And incidentally, we already did the “freak out on anyone who even hints that I might be gay” storyline, and it was bad then. Let’s not do it again.

I am unable to object to any storyline which results in the revealing of Thad Luckenbill’s naked ass.
This is the first I’ve watched of this show, minus a few eps from a marathon before the season premiere. Kimber is McMahon’s ex, right? He was really mean to her and she got kidnapped by the Carver or some such?
I tuned in late and saw Matt, upset and crying to someone Kimber (?) about never making a decision for himself (?). I turned off the TV and finished my Chainz game.
What is it about Matt? It’s partly his whiny self and partly his looks. Is it his eyebrows? It’s unkind to say someone’s ugly, but I hate to look at him.
There’s no one on the show to like. Self-centered, often cruel, angsty, deluded rich people. Blech.
What is this, a Pit thread? I loved it. Was the woman that started making out with the new owner Julia’s mother?
Otto - Kimber was engaged to Julian, then the Carver forced her to leave him a note saying she was leaving him, and at the time he didn’t know the Carver had kidnapped her, just that she left him at the altar. But their screwed up relationship goes back much farther and is much more fucked up.
No, the actress who plays Julia’s mother is Vanessa Redgrave. The woman in the parking lot was played by the still-gorgeous Jacqueline Bisset.
I can’t decide if I liked this episode or not. First, I agree with the person who said “been there/done that” wrt a character getting violent over the suggestion that he might harbor gay feelings. It’s old – and too recently old to be the least bit interesting. I also didn’t like how vicscious Christian was with Kimber. Especially after her terrifying ordeal at the hands of the carver, being so violently brutal towards her was completely out of line (not that it would’ve been acceptable otherwise, I’m just saying). I wish she’d’ve hauled off and punched him in the face!
And that twit Julia still hasn’t learned not to go behind Sean’s back and keep things from him. I really hate that bitch.
Also, one of the best parts of this show were the scenes where Sean and Christian performed surgeries together. It helps keep their chemistry defined. Seeing each of them doing their own surgeries is just plain boring and completely takes away what I think was one of the key elements of the series.
I am curious about the new owner and the mystery woman angle, though. And I can’t wait to see Brooke Shields again (I finally got to see episode 1 on reruns, thank goodness.)!
Dammit. Eh, I like my story arc better.
I thought it was sort of funny at first, but it’s gretting pretty ridiculous that for some reason they show either Sean’s or Christian’s ass in almost every single episode. I can’t stop watching the show though, I bought the first season on dvd a couple of weeks ago, which forced my room mate to buy the other two. Everyone in the house watched all the episodes in rapid fire.
Anyone think that Quentin is going to show up this season?
