No laughing matter, but still funny. Mike McCready and Chron's

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready has come out as being a long-time sufferer of Chron’s disease, which is a serious stomach disorder that causes severe and near-spontaneous diarrhea among other problems.

He went public to show other suffers that you can have a life and career despite the affliction, which I thought was pretty cool of him.

However, relating an experience while touring with the Rolling Stones got me into a full-blown laugh fit:

“It was our first show with them,” McCready continues. “Five minutes before we went on, I went up to (Pearl Jam frontman) Eddie (Vedder) and I said, 'Look man, can we play ‘Sometimes’? – which is a slower song that I’m not really on. I was in pain. I went running offstage looking for a bathroom, and there wasn’t one. Then, all of a sudden, there was one. It was a honeybucket. I heard my band play that song from inside a portable toilet!”

I will refrain from all the “no wonder PJ sounds like crap” jokes, but I thought McCready’s announcement was both cool and amusing. Just wanted to share.

Perhaps even more amusing is my apparent inability to spell Crohn’s correctly. Oops.
