As in any post about popular culture on the SDMB, I’m surprised nobody has posted the standard IDOAT response yet.

I am suprised how no one has mentioned that posting to this thread is like being a sports fan. I mean, what is the point of watching people do an activity, while you sit there, and mistakenly think that you are part of something special just to boost your own feelings of self worth?
