Clouds don’t deliberately look like other things like rabbits and bears and little children flying kites. They don’t really have the ability to think and decide what shapes people might be wanting to see at any given moment. Following a trail is easy if somebody painted a great big yellow arrow or line on the ground for you. It’s harder if it’s all grown up in weeds. But it’s really hard if it’s under water and the water is murky and it’s frozen and there are all sorts of maneating critters in the water and the water stinks and it’s a long way from civilization and there are no guides to get you to it and there are no maps that show it and all that.
I’ve given up drinking. And I was really good at it. Didn’t really mean too, it just sort of happened when I wasn’t looking. Well it’s been about 7 months now.

Your observant style is appreciated if not praised. It’s unavoidable that some violations of any rules will take place in any endeavor. We could call the game or dismiss the referee or set the offending players on fire. But the crowd wouldn’t eat any less popcorn or swill any less beer. It’s just how the game is played.
There is no doubt that some of the same nouns and verbs have been used before in some post on some thread somewhere on SDMB, and that’s as it should be. Progress is made in steps and children learn from trial and error. Many a day has passed with little accomplished but the reward goes to the one who finishes the race and holds his or her or its head high in the storm.
Unless we join together to fight the battle, the enemy has already won, and that’s not what we want. Justice shall prevail and every home deserves at least one large pedestal to place the family hero’s statue on. Let us begin here and now to admire the players and not the crowd. They get there rewards elsewhere.
