BTW—looks like MORRO BAY (The Birds) is just about the same distance north from SLO as PISMO is south.

Morro Bay is nice. I can see Morro Rock from the highway leading to the town of Cambria just a bit up the coast.

As for me, I’m still advocating a Sunday brunch in Solvang, the Danish capital of the United States. I shall repeat, hand made chocolates, Danish pastries and decent smorgasboard, what more could you want?
For the Los Angelenos, it will be a mere detour on the way back home. There are also wineries in the Santa Ynez valley for some tasting fun as well. I’m even thinking of arriving Friday night to get a head start on things. Anybody up for a Friday rondezvous?
Bryan & I will most likely be there by Friday. (I just quit my job, so I’m not entirely sure what my schedule will be, but I’m going to make sure that I’ll be there).
I was thinking about the possibility of a Saturday day trip to Hearst Castle. It’s about 30 minutes from SLO, and I’m sure there will be a few that would like to go. (I’ve never been, so I’d love to take a gander)
I am so with you on the Hearst Castle thang. Being a huge fan of Julia Morgan, I have always wanted to do the big mansion on the hill pilgrimage. Let’s investigate a Saturday tour of the old pile.
