Ok. Count me and the Boyfriend out. I didn’t realize it was going to snow this weekend, and I am not that great of a driver. (Heck, getting home sometime in the next 24 hours is going to be interesting.)
Sorry! I really really wish we could come, but this snow stuff freaks me out. (And the Boyfriend doesn’t like to drive my car.) But heck, I’ll be back up here in Baltimore in a month, so maybe we can do something then.

As it turns out, I wasn’t the only surprise attendee. Petcat also appeared unannounced AFAIK. It was so good to see many of you again, and to meet so many for the first time.

The Blueskid and I are home safely, and we had just a smashing time, as always. I wish I could have chatted with more than just the people in my immediate vicinity, but talking with Opal, Undead Dude, Ginger, Edward the Head, MsRobyn, Airman Doors and gobear was tremendous fun. See you all at the next one!
We got back to the boat safe and sound. I had a great time, Steve was still feeling crappy, and he pointed out that for his sacrifice, I owe him a backrub or three. Since I expect we’ll be snowbound tomorrow, I guess I’ll settle up then.
He also said come spring or summer, we need to have a Boat Dope. Everyone can come to the Inner Harbor and Fells Point, and take turns going out on our boat, and maybe we can rent the pool barge at the marine for a cookout/swim party to end the day. If there’s enough interest, I’ll put this together.
Anyway, it was lovely seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
It was great to get out and see people. Thanks to Lucretia and Blueskid for the ride home. I hope next time we can go to a venue with more opportunities to mill about and chat. I swear I will try to drag my boyfriend to one of these events and get him to embrace the Dope (That or put a pod under our bed and make him One of Us.)
We’re back! We spent some time on the way home looking for a sled for Baby Kate but there appears to have been a run on them.
We had great time and it was fun seeing everyone again! I’ll never forget this birthday!
