Peaches. It’s a Bigfoot. I just know it.
Why am I awake at 0300. Why?

Happy Hump Day!
Up too early again.
It’s becoming a habit again.
Today is supposed to be cooler, with a high of 82.
Finally getting caught up around the house and feeling like I can breathe again.

Y’all are great people, and there are times y’all are what helped to keep me sane.
Well, okay, not sane, but you know what I mean ;D
Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off to work. I had a hacking cough, so I didn’t get much sleep last night. And some wired dreams. when I did.
My bladder woke me at least 3 times last night, and I don’t know why! I didn’t have that much water at supper and I didn’t eat or drink anything after we got home. Luckily, I was able to fall back to sleep each time, but still.
I seem to have developed weird rashes all over. It started on my wrist, and I thought at first it was just from my arm resting on an afghan while I slept. But it still itches and the skin feels weird. I noticed a similar band across my belly, and there seem to be a couple of spots on my inner thighs kinda between torso and knees. If it was just the wrist, I’d wait and see, but seeming to be so widespread, I’m thinking I should make an appointment. Naturally, when I tried to Google it, I discovered I had wrist cancer, so it’s time to see a pro.
I really hate going - like the time I had a bunch of itchy, bumpy patches in random places - turns out it was poison ivy. That’s when I learned the roots are as bad as the leaves. But I’d never had poison ivy before, so I didn’t know what it looked like. I would rather avoid a similar situation, but I don’t want to wait till it gets really bad, if it’s gonna get really bad. Dammit.
Our heat wave is supposed to break, so huzzah! **FCD **will be helping the buyer of the lathe remove it from our basement today. And it’s 57 days till our cruise.
Happy Wednesday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 94 and mostly N.O.S. with, of course, the chance of an afternoon tstorm. We did get one yestiddy. I shall go to the Pubic Sto’ today for some provisions it bein’ geezer day. I need to figure out dindin as well but am uninspired as of yet. Also I shall go by the church house to empty the dishwasher and return the dish towels and cloths I brought home to launder. Envy the excitatement that is my life!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify if’n I am to be about the public and the Pubic.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I get weird rashes from time to time, athough nothing that sounds quite so ominous as your rash.
One thing driving me nuts lately is that the cuticles on my thumbs and big toes hurt. There is no redness or swelling, so I doubt it is an infection of some kind.
Only 6 more days until puppy for me.
While I’m down in the armpit I’m going to try to get some banking done. I need to go inside a BoA to make some changes and we don’t have any branches up here.
No such luck. It was a heavy something unknown and caught me across the calf. I had my back to it and it had a bit of a ballistic arc going but as oowies go I’ve had worse there. Some horse liniment last night and its pretty fine now.
My roommate and her father are in the kitchen, drinking out of beer glasses!
(They’re drinking smoothies, not beer. :p)
Total blurf hump day.
Blurfage Ms. Judy is back today so I was finally able turn on my computer for the first time this week. I feel like shit. I think I am going backwards instead of getting better. I probably need a doctor after all. I just want to be home in the bed where sick folks should be.
Lunch time!! My brain needs the break.
I’ve got a Dr appt tomorrow morning to determine whether my rash is something scary or just something annoying. I’m hoping for annoying - I don’t have time for scary.
The glued dried and its time to road-test my new tooth; I’m thinking canned ravioli. May use one of the bikes for work today.
I’ve procured provisions and tonight’s dindin shall be broccoli beef. I scored a deal on some used round steak.
Nope, the bees haven’t been moved at all yet; they didn’t get a fun trip in the van.
They’re going to go in the back of the car, on the final trip of the move. The axolotls should go tomorrow, but I’m gonna have to carry the tank upstairs by myself, which may be interesting; I can lift it, but carrying it up to the 3rd floor. I’ll spend the night down there, as I need to go check out the potential bee hive site before bringing them down (especially as I’ll be driving down in the dark, so the bees are less likely to be active- plus less traffic).
I don’t remember it coming up in in any etiquette books, but I believe showing up at midnight with bees may be somewhat frowned upon on a first visit.
I’m complicating things for myself by having a leaving party on Saturday- a picnic/bbq at my allotment. It’s getting quite tricky working out what I should leave here to make that simpler, and what should go with me tomorrow.
Moomm my first thought was allergic reaction. Have you tried Benadryl? Other than that, all my reactions are ask the doc. Hope you feel better soonest.
Ruble congrats on the new toof.
Quickly, since I have to run my kid to the dr, Pepper had the trots last night. It was a long night. I need all the coffee please.
I was reading Churchill’s History of the Second World War, and came to wonder if “allotment” stems from the city gardens people planted during that time.
Home in bed. Awaiting a call from the Dr to get me squoze in today. Hubby has it too and they already sneaked him in the back door and took care of him. Tis raining which suits the mood here. Hubby is having a lie down and this man never stops. If I die Flytrap gets the DVD’s.
Thanks!
They would have been allotments, but the concept is far older; the ‘Small Holdings and Allotments Act’ was first brought in in 1908 (since replaced by the Allotments Act 1920 and 1950 editions), and they’ve been around for much longer than that. It was the First World War (and the associated food shortages) that first got them really popular. I believe the site I’m on dates back to WW1.
There was a big push for them during WW2 as well, with loads of new sites created during the Dig for Victory campaign, there were more then than at any other time.
Here endeth the British History lesson of the day (allotment edition).
Thanks, Nut. Hope the animal moving goes well.
Get better, Butters; and hoping FCM has nothing more than a rash.
Ruble, y’all be careful out there; next pallet may have sledgehammers…
And all the rest of you brusied and ill folks, get well soon!
Picked up paperwork on my brand spanking new annuity (I had to go the office, they needed a signature that I actually got it). Waiting to see if it rains before 5PM or if I can go ahead with my soccer practice.
And that’s all for this Humpday morning.
