Nothing to write home about - a very early MMP

Taters and swampy, so you don’t need to hear why I have two cell phones then do you? :frowning:
One is the mandatory work nextel, upon which I get ‘chirped’ at all hours by principals with stupid questions. Oh, and occasionally the boss. About 100 numbers are programmed into all of our phones, so I can reach just about anyone in the district who’s anyone at the push of a button. Yay.

The other, is my Razr that’s on the Cingular family plan, which matches the Kid’s pink Razr, and the Wife’s silver one. NO ONE in the district has that number.

I’m too easy to reach. I need a week in the woods with belly dancers, steak and beer…

I’m pretty certain how it got there… I’ve been sleeping on the futon because VWife and I have a running disagreement about air conditioning and fans. She wants to sleep in a refrigerator with gale force winds blowing on her, and I want no part of it. The futon is part of the present VunderStudy, so the quarter probably fell out of my pocket while I was reading the mail.

That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it… <snerk>

We’re on the Cingular family plan. We didn’t spring for the Razrs though.

Bobbio, no…the quarter was stuck to you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve woken up with change stuck to me. :o

Other people should spend half as much time thinking about whether or not to have kids! I always think that when I go through these discussions (even back when they were just with myself) over pets, over my new car, over small appliances, etc.

Thanks for the good thoughts for KeithT. He’s still got about 2 1/2 hours until his defense so keep the good thoughts coming!

<snerk>

I need simple salad ideas. I take a small salad to work with me every day to eat when I get hungry before lunch. I’ve been using those packages of pre-shredded red cabbage with some feta, a few sunflower seeds, some raisins, and a balsamic vinegarette. It takes all of 2 minutes to throw together before work. So I’m looking for something that simple and quick. No cutting, dicing, shredding, etc. Ideas?

I really hate salad, so I can’t help you. I’ll eat it to be polite, but my ideal salad is compsed of caesar dressing, bacon, parmesan, and deep fried potatoes.

-100 is the most comfy sleeping temp, Bob. Your wife is right.
I want a nap after I mop. I’m sleepy.

First the drinking, and now this! You gots some splainin to do, missy!
Good luck to Drae and KeithT. Hope you get all your girly stuff sorted out soon Drae.

Spats, you’re in Panama City, not P-cola, right? Not that one is any better than the other. Actually I kinda liked P-cola better, but, compared to Orygun, they both pretty much sucked.

I had a bowl of People Kibble[sup]TM[/sup] for brekkie too. It was Kashi Go Lean Crunch, with not enough milk. I know you all wanted to know that.

We have cell phones too. Ya kinda gotta if you’re in real estate, which, technically, I am. And Wifey is a principal broker. Mostly I just use mine to call Wifey to say: “I’m at Freddies, do we need bread?” though.

Later.

I think I’ll have some PeopleKibble[sup]tm[/sup] for dinner! Cranberry Nut Crunch Flavor!

I’m kinda sad.

I replied to mika’s post in here and she didn’t have a clever comeback, for what I thought was an exceedingly funny, in a slightly snarky way.

::sniff::

I’ll go crawl under my desk now…

Actually, in a few minutes, I’m off to get the Wife at the train station, drop her off at home, run to my chiropractor appt., then to the gym, then home to shower then out to another fest in a nearby town to see some band she likes and drink beer whilst eating some kind of fried food out cardboard boat-y things.

Call my cell if you need me.

so you’re going to a fest with a band **BusWife ** likes, but you’re not taking her? because you mention dropping her off but not picking her up again…
as for going to the gym *after * the chiropractor - isn’t that a little counter productive?

It has just occured to me that I am somewhat of an idiot. What took you so long you ask?

See, Monday morning I have to go back to the lively and thriving metropolis of Waycross, Jawja. I have to be there at 9:30 a.m. which means I get to leave my house at the early hour of 6:30 a.m. See where this is going? I volunteered to do the MMP Monday. Ok, I’ll still do it. I trust everyone can take the OP and run with it like usual without my witty tasteful and oh so droll commentary interspersed throughout the day. I’ll be puterless for quite a while Monday. I will be doing much driving and meeting sitting. The MMP may even get posted on Sunday evening. Or, I’ll compose it and just put it up early Monday morning before most of you would even think about getting up much less reading it.

Moral of the story:

Look at your planner before agreeing to do stuff stoopid! :smack:

No no…

Chiropractor to get adjusted, gym where I mainly stretch, warm up, do some light lifting then cardio - all under his full approval. Then home, shower, get the wife again, and go WITH her.

The doc has really helped my back problems, lately it’s mainly maintenance he’s doing, and he’s encouraged jumping back into the gym full speed ahead.

So, the new doctor didn’t tell me much I didn’t already know. She seems to concur with the idea of endometriosis, but unfortunately, the only way to truly diagnose it is through surgery. I had a much easier time this month, so we agreed that I would keep doing what I did (although she thinks I should switch from the anaprox to plain old motrin) and come back in a month or two. Either way, she’s my new doctor. If for no other reason than because she’s female and it occurred to her to put something on the ceiling to occupy my attention during the exam.

: looks prim :

I am multi-talented, you know. Humph!

Home! My kid is crusing - heading down the Chesapeake Bay towards the Atlantic as I write this. My nephew and FCD are watching cartoons. The dog and cat are giving me the hairy eyeball - they want to eat. Not yet…

Hamburgers and sweet corn for dinner. Ice cream for dessert. As for weekend plans - it’s supposed to rain all weekend. Dunno how I’m going to entertain the kid tomorrow. We shall see.

I picked up my last 9 ceramic pieces - I’ll get pics up a bit later.

So didja miss me today?

So, what was up there? On the ceiling I mean?

Someone told me once about going to see a dentist who had TVs hanging from the ceiling over the chairs, with headphones for the [del]victims[/del] customers.
I thought it would be a great idea, but when I told my dentist, he just laughed. :frowning:
When you consider what is on daytime TV these days, it probably would have increased his novacaine budget by a great deal.

It’s such a good thing I wasn’t drinking when I read this. It was some chart of the female reproductive system with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one, but it was way better than counting ceiling tiles!

Why, yes, yes we did! How did you know?

I’ve been to two, count 'em, TWO doctors today! I love my Fridays off. One was just to get my Depo shot. The other was to find out the results of my ultrasound, and to let the vampire get some more blood.

So it seems on top of everything else, I have freakin’ HUGE gallstones. I can’t have my gall bladder out while I’m on this Hep C treatment - something about too high a risk for infections while on it. So sometime next year I get to have surgery. Whoopee!

I love getting old. :frowning:

Took the dog to the vet today for her quarterly ear infection. Doc gave her Cipro, so my puppy is anthrax proof. I took a long nap this afternoon, since I was pooped. No cash on me when I woke up, I guess I don’t sleeplapdance like bobbio.
Hey spats, if you’re bored, I can get some work for you.
Swampy, if you had a Blackberry, you could post while driving.
rebo. getting old sucks, but the alternative is worse.
