Nothing to write home about - a very early MMP

Sorry for the computer frustration, rigs. Deep breath, drink, then try again.

That cow contest sounds like a hoot. Very original.

Very cute car, MamaT.

How’d Mr. Lissar’s test go, LiLi?

There’s more, but it’s way past my bedtime.

Busy busy day. Went to brunch after church, then went off to acquire plants, then came home and walked the bike race route backwards (watched about 6 laps of 50 or so), then went to Garden Ridge, Lowe’s and Home Depot where I got: additional containers to plant stuff in (I’m using way more containers than usual this year because I’m clearing lots of stuff out and moving lots of stuff around;these’ll replace several that I’ve had for a long time that aren’t very nice), more potting mix, a bunch of perennials (Lowe’s had some very nice plants on sale), and a couple of plants to fill in a couple of containers. Then I did lots of weeding and edged two of the beds in front and collected both yard waste and recycling, since those will be picked up tomorrow.

Gotta go throw some laundry in the washer and decide what the heck I’m wearing tomorrow. Such glamour.

Happy Sunday evening!

But you’d only need 3 chorus girls. And it would certainly be more interesting than cows.

:d&r:

Back from Eastern Oregon. Took many pictures, most of which are crap.

:le sigh:

Mr. Lissar’s grading was very good. Thanks for the good thoughts.
I have a new tale of Useless Git! I may also repost this in the new MMP. Yesterday, he came to work twenty minutes late, hung around downstairs for a bit, and then came upstairs to say that he was impatient with the lack of communication about what shifts he’s supposed to work, and as he’s still on probation (first three months) he would graciously stay for four (actually three and a half, but he said four) hours to cover our breaks, and then he was quitting.
He said he’d left a note for my manager, and talked to the assistant manager, who didn’t mention anything to us. Now, she always informs the manager about screw-ups and stuff, and also always talks to the evening shift about any screw-ups or understaffing.

She didn’t mention anything.

I phoned my manager during work tonight, just to make sure he had been told that one of his staff (albeit a thoroughly Useless one) had walked out after only half a shift, and wasn’t coming back.

He didn’t know.

Ergo, Useless Git lied.

Why? I don’t get it. Why lie? Also, he knew that he was only expected to work until next weekend, and then he was off, because he’d talked to several of my co-workers about his last shift. Why lie about that?

The only problem is that Useless Git was supposed to work next weekend. Idiot. Oh, well, better now than later, but his lack of common courtesy and martyred air just burned all his stupid bridges with the possibility of getting hired at another location (which he’s mentioned).

Moron.
