Y’know it just now occurs to me that monkeys are among a very few kinds of animals asscoaited REPEATEDLY with sex. As in “monkeying around.”
Others include:
Dogs: many examples;
Cats: “tom cat(ting)” etc.;
Rabbits: emphasis on reproductive capacity, but still;
(maybe) Mice, as in “horny little” but I can’t think of any other cases…

And my gf and I repeatedly celebrated, and then remembered the holiday. So we celebrated again.
