Dammit I wanna play some dopers on Ghost Recon on Xbox live. So it’s christmas day, anyone have live now?

I started a thread about it back in November. I was totally psyched to get it and played it every day for about a week. For some reason I haven’t played it since then though. Don’t know why, it just got old quick I guess.

Few dopers showed interest in my thread but now that christmas is past you might get a better response here. Maybe if some dopers want to play I will get back into it.

Unreal Tournament is all I have right now. Loved Ghost Recon for the week that I rented it but played every mission several times so I don’t really care to rent it again.

I just got Xbox Live, Unreal, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell for Xmas. Problem is, My PCs CDROM is fucked at the moment, so until I get that taken care of, there will be no Xbox Live.

BTW, Splinter Cell is FANTASTIC.

What does your PCs CDROM have to do with Xbox Live?

How is the voice chat? Is it cool and fun, or is it 13-year-olds cursing at you and talking in leet speak?

I’m really not big on first-person shooters (actually, I enjoy them, I just get motion sickness from playing them). Is there any reason to get Xbox live other than FPSs?

I only play Ghost Recon on Live and it rules. The quality of the voice is good, comparable to an analog cell phone.

I have only run into one or 2 people who are jackasses on GR, but I played Unreal for a little bit and it is worse there.

All in all you get unlimited play for a year for the price of one game. Well worth it to me. GR is the only game I have been playing for the last few weeks, and I have Metroid Prime and Splinter Cell on my shelf left to finsh.

I plan on getting MechAssalt and I have NFL Fever now. If anyone would like to play the demos or NFL Fever right now; let me know and we’ll set it up. I’m going by the GamerTag - Dragon Clan, since there’s more than one person in my house that might be playing at any given time.

Sorry to ressurect such a dusty old thread but I have just gotten on live myself.

Maybe we should get together a listing of folks who are on and their gamertags to look out for each other.
