Now I know why women . . .

almost always grow out their hair for their weddings.

I have kinda short hair, in fact, most would call it short. OK fine, except I cannot find any sort of veil to wear that doesn’t look completely LAME on my head.

Now that’s partly because I don’t look good in very many hats, but it’s also mostly because veils seem to be designed for long hair. Which I do not have.

So tell me, those of you who’ve done the veil thingy and had short hair at the time, what did you do? Where did you find a veil you liked that didn’t make you look like the Statue of Liberty or Mickey Mouse in tulle?

Do you have to wear a veil? How about a nice little tiara or crown of flowers or, depending upon how you’re dressing, a short simple veil? I think this gal looks awfully cute . . .

Well I’d really like to wear a veil.

I’m not going with a blusher and I don’t want to wear a really long one, but I would like to wear a veil.

Then there’s this lady.

I think tiaras are a wonderful idea, or you could look up some lace veils. I had a difficult time finding one that I liked even though I did grow out my hair. I ended up making my own. You can go to your local craft store, there are usually either kits or base pieces you can buy (barettes, tiaras, headband forms, etc.) to make your own fairly cheap, and likely you’ll be happier with something you design yourself.

Ethilrist – that link didn’t work for me alas.

My thoughts exactly. Short hair always looks lovely with a garland of flowers.

Whoops. Go to www.audrey1.com, go into the picture gallery, select gallery 1, and it’s in the next to last row, next to last column, a picture of Audrey Hepburn in a wedding dress with veil. Rowr!

Ooooh…found some neat veils at Isadora Veils

Wow, Audrey looks fabulous in that.

And those are cool veils, XJETGIRLX, very cool indeed.

Isadora Veils?!

Yikes—stay away from convertible sportscars!

But, Eve did you go to the link? I totally thought of you the minute I saw those two veils on the home page. Especially the '20’s veil.
