The forum defaults to 50, but you can change it to various other values in your profile. Just curious; I use 100 myself. The oddity is that it doesn’t count the OP, so that my first page actually has 101 posts, tho every subsequent one is 100.
200, the only real option.
It really doesn’t make much difference most of the times, but it comes in handy when playing Mafia games, because I always know instantly which page Post 2374 is on.

I max it out as well, and can understand Suburban Plankton’s reasoning. I’m kind of interested in why 20 and 5 were chosen.
I chose 20 because I can keep my place in a thread better with fewer posts per page.
Also I’m just weird. I don’t like long chapters in books either. I don’t think I could explain it in a way that would make any sense.
I voted the default 50, but I’ve been meaning to change it to 100 or more to see how I like it.
I tried 200, but it slows down page loads on my old computer. So I went back to 100.
- I always set it to whatever the highest number for whatever forum I’m on.
I’ve left it at 50 to avoid clogging up the tubes unnecessarily.
