Nutella Frozen Custard

I had a hankerin’ for some ice cream yesterday, so I scrounged through the 'frig and cabinet for ideas. I came across a jar of Nutella and a little light went off. Let me tell you something, Nutella ice cream (really a frozen custard) is good enough to make you slap your mama.

3 eggs
8 oz. milk
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup Nutella
2 cups cream
3 tsp vanilla extract

Heat milk. In a bowl, blend sugar and eggs until smooth. Remove milk from heat. Temper egg and sugar mix into milk and return to heat. Heat to 160-degrees F. Remove from heat. Whisk in Nutella. Strain into a bowl and cool to room temp. When cool, add stir in cream and vanilla.

Freeze in ice cream maker. Let ripen if you have the patience.

Mr. beckwall is gonna pee his pants when I make him some of this. Thanks for the creative idea!

Oh, that sounds good. I’m a Nutella nut since I was introduced to it in high school. My girlfriend is Mediterranean and an absolute fiend for the stuff.

We will have to try this.

THANKS!!!
