I was thinking that it would be nice to have another NYC DopeDinner this upcoming Thursday, October 4 in Midtown Manhattan (obligatory ‘the island, not the moderator’ joke here) at around 6:30 p.m.
A fun and reasonably priced place to have it would be John’s Pizzeria at 260 West 44th Street.
It would be great if we could get a big bunch of people there this week. Both DopeDinner regulars and new DopeDinner denizens are of course welcome.
Damn it, Billdo, your timing sucks! The Picnic was when I had to be upstate for my sister’s bridal shower. This one, lurker and I have to get his suit so we can leave nice and early to go up for her wedding.
Why couldn’t you have said this one for last night! I’d even taken today off!

I’ll go as long as I don’t get kicked out of my apartment again or have to run from any falling buildings. I did so enjoy the one Dope dinner I made it to. The conversation is a ton of fun. So is the drinking. Does John’s pizzeria serve booze? Or should I bring a 40?

I know from experience that they serve beer, and I’m pretty darn sure that they have a full bar. Don’t worry, I wouldn’t suggest someplace without alcohol.

Oy! In my sillyness I usually overlook this board. I am one of those out-of-towners, and I think it would be quite pleasuable to dri … er, meet with fellow Dopers. It would be my first time, though I’ve been lingering on the web site for some 6 months.
I’m less than an hour north of the city and have been there planty of times. If somebody gives me a location fix on John’s Pizza mayhaps I’ll be able to make an appearence.
