But we gave biggirl the baby, so it’s gonna be a Brooklyner next week.

After lengthy and heated negotiations, I got the baby. He’s a colicky one and kept me up all night. I’m putting him up for adoption. For your chance to take him home (it’s not that bad. He doesn’t eat much) come next Thursday to The Park Slope Brewery. It’s not much of a web site, but the place is nice. Just ask Vix or Purcette.
Located on the corner of 6th Ave and 5th St. in Park Slope, Brooklyn (where else?). Take the N,R or F train to 9th Street and 4th Ave.
It was fun and I’m glad I met y’all—though sorry Biggirl and son had to sit at the Kiddie Table. And Cajun Man showed us his Judy Garland brooch!
The cake was yummy, but I stand by my assertion that it looked like nothing so much as an elaborately decorated toilet seat.
…I’m all verklempt!

Thanks for the check-in Cajun Man. I was beginning to think I stayed up till 1 in the morning baking pies for nothing. It’ll be just you and me Caj. . . and diabetic shock.
Mmmm…Biggirl’s lovely company and homemade pecan pie…what more can one ask for?!

The Park Slope Ale House was nice (and the nachos were superb).
Since I don’t remember the name of the place we went to after (which was very comfortable) someone else will have to take it from here.

(Being that Mardi Gras is Tuesday the 27th, next week will be the last King Cake party. Whoever gets that baby will be King or Queen for Mardi Gras!)
