O.J. Simpson: Paroled on Some Convictions. (Mod: W/ July 2017 update)

"For the first time in a long while, O.J. Simpson got a bit of favorable legal news Wednesday when Nevada officials granted him parole on several of his 2008 convictions for kidnapping and armed robbery stemming from his attempt to retrieve sports memorabilia.

But the disgraced former Heisman Trophy winner and USC running back still faces at least four more years in prison on sentences that were ordered to run consecutively."

Run, consecutively, run.

So OJ has run out the clock but still has some OT.

I wonder what he’d have to do while in jail to violate the terms of his parole…

Let’s keep USC out of this, please.

Is O.J. Simpson gonna have to choke a bitch?

If he did it.

Usually, for an offender on parole, the act of being in jail is a violation of the terms of the parole.

I think you meant to say:

If HE DID IT

That there is what you call irony.

Updating this thread:

Supposed to be within the hour.

OJFS: OJ Fucking Simpson.

I watched most of his hearing in front of the parole board.

God, he still comes off as a complete sociopath. Nothing but lies and showing no remorse or recognition over his violent behavior in his past. Completely tone deaf, too.

He’s going to get parole, isn’t he?

Simpson has already served far more time than his coconspirators in the Vegas robbery. IIRC Simpson was unarmed and yet the ones carrying the guns got lighter sentences.

I know everybody wants him permanently locked up for the murder of his ex. Unfortunately he was aquitted of that criminal charge.

There’s no credible reason to extend his prison stay for a non-violent robbery in Vegas. Especially considering that he was retrieving his own possessions.

Hell, throw the book at him and eek out every day, month and year you can to keep his psychopathic, violent ass behind bars, just for saying “I’ve lived a conflict-free life” alone.

Paroled. How long until he violates it?

He’s learned his lesson. I seriously doubt Simpson will ever break a law again.

He’s learned the hard way how badly the system wants to punish him for his ex wife’s death.

The slightest mistake will be considered a parole violation. He knows they’ll be looking for any possible excuse to revoke parole.

I wonder if he’ll be required to serve parole in Nevada?

If he were younger, I’d be even more cynical about his chances of running afoul again. But still, I just can’t trust that guy, knowing what we all know.

I do think he received too harsh a sentence for what actually seems to have happened.

Yes, he should be in prison for the murders he committed. I liked that he ended up in prison, but it was a really harsh term for the crime.

Did you listen to him snap at the parole commissioner who asked him if he felt that he was entitled to take all the items that were in the possessions of the other guy?

It was a joke that OJ then went on and on about how anger management classes helped him so much. And I don’t think he actually showed any real remorse for what he did. I guess the parole board saw it differently.
