Interestingly, Bleeding Blaze Orange has not placed first place any of the weeks. Just consistent week after week.

Damn lost ground this week. To first and 2nd place. but I did manage to extend my lead on 4th place partly because of Oak’s “homer” pick of Miss State.
We need a week with very few games as it is my only hope. And that week has to be the last week of the season. There can’t be very many games when there is only one SEC, ACC, Big 12 game, no Big 10 games.
Aww, dammit. I totally forgot about that week. There will be maybe ten games, so I am going to lose a huge chunk of points to all the people below me. Not entering my picks correctly in week two is gonna cost me. Theoretically, I could win 7 of the 14 individual weeks, and come in fourth or fifth place overall. And Bleeding Blaze Orange might win zero individual weeks and take home the title.
Oak are you going to set up a bowl game pick 'em as well? That’d be pretty fun too. The bowl games are a lot tougher to pick, with the lack of common opponents between the teams playing.
Yeah, I’ll do a league with whatever Yahoo does for bowl games. Just looked, there;s nothing available yet, but I’ll keep an eye on it and post a signup thread when the league is available.
28 games this week. I didn’t think there would be that many. 25 of the 28 games are matchups between BCS conference teams (including Notre Dame). The three non-BCS games are TCU/New Mexico, Utah/BYU and Boise/Nevada.
A lot of rivalry games, which means there could be a lot of upsets.
Should be a great extended weekend of football.

I didn’t know Bama was favored. Auburn is ranked higher though, so a Bama win still counts as an upset in my book.
All I can say is thanks for blessing this game. 
You can call it whatever you want to call it, but the fact remains that if you want to bet on Bama at Vegas bookie, and Bama only wins by 3 points, you are going to LOSE the bet.
the conspiracy buffs will insist that Auburn will win so the SEC will be guaranteed a team in the BCS game. And Boise St/TCU out of it.
This is one of many reasons Oak does not bet on sporting events.
The conspiracy buffs are idiots. They also have little comprehension of the significance of an event like the Iron Bowl, or the Egg Bowl. Bragging Rights for the Whole Year are at stake. Anybody caught, or even strongly suspected, of trying to fix either game would likely suffer a fate worse than death…and then death…and then have their corpse abused.
