I pulled a few SMD transistors our of a dead cordless phone for possible use in some miniature electronics projects I have in mind. They are marked with 3-character codes, and nothing else. Does anyone know of a site with cross-reference tables so I can get some idea of what these are equivalent to?
As far as I can determine, the markings are as follows:
3 units are marked AQY
At least 3 units are marked with what looks like 62G
Most place that sell this sort of thing have minimum purchase requirements. I don’t want to spend $20 to get 50 cents worth of parts. That would be silly.
Q.E.D. You may guess their specs by seeing where in the circuit they came from but I think it may be difficult, if not impossible to identify them and may be easier to just test them for specs and then use them for general applications. If you want very specific applications requiring special specs I would not use them in any case.
That was my thought, too sailor. I have a DMM that will test transistors and determine polarity, pinout and hFE. I’ll have to guess at some specs like V[sub]B-E[sub]max[/sub][/sub], et al. I just need to creat a jig with which to test tiny SMD transistors. so, I guess I have yet another project.
Erm. All of that might not do you any good. There are any number of parts in three pin smd housings that aren’t transistors - or they may have built in base resisitors that will screw up your measurements.
I can’t find your parts anywhere. Either they are really strange, or else you’ve misread the little buggers. I know how hard they can be to read - I’ll either get a magnifying glass and a good light or else take 'em straight over to the microscope.
