Has no one mentioned an accountant???

(Financial Window Dresser or Financial Analyst being the euphemism for it)

I guess I’ll be the first brave soul to admit to this profession

Sure, I think I’ve mentioned it on the boards a couple of times. I work for Leinenkugel’s

Now would be good.

Day job: Senior Database Administrator and Application Developer

Evening job: Taekwondo Instructor

Weekend job: Movie Star. Well, not yet. I have a speaking/action role in a martial arts movie and I’m the fight choreographer as well. Gotta start somewhere, right?

Environmental Scientist

Computer Engineer, for a government agency that likes flying things in and out of the atmosphere.

Once and future TKD instructor myself. I just restarted training after sitting out for about 5 years, so I have some catching up to do…

Meteorologist, specializing in satellite imagery, tropical cyclones (except forecasting), and other severe weather. But I usually try to answer (or research) any related subject as well, from climatology to numerical modelling, etc.

This is 3 pages long and I’m surprised I don’t see my occupation (accountant) on the latest summary.

Currently a(nother) computer programmer, mostly on/against Oracle databases.

Officially I’m qualified as an electrical and electronic engineer, tho’ that was a long way back and I wouldn’t want to try tinkering with three phase power these days.

Was a sound engineer for a while and a guitar tech’ (both covered already).

Spent ten horrible weeks as a white van man. Suposedly fixing and programming POS machines (cash registers). Mostly it meant sitting in traffic in London.

Here’s one that hasn’t been covered: seismic survey technician. On a ship in the North Sea. I got good at throwing up.

I’m a cartographer. I make aeronautical charts for the FAA. Instrument approach charts to be exact. I used to make nautical charts for NOAA before I came to the FAA.

Secretary.

Admninistrative Professional, whatever. Call it what you want - I’m a secretary.

Formally, I’m an architectural drafter/checker in telecom industry. In reality it mostly involves space planning though. krisolov, I might know abouts where you are/work.

In the past I have worked in an architect’s office as a drafter while I was still in high school. I have also worked at Jiffy Lube, T.G.I Friday’s, and Friendly’s and for about a year I did market research.

I’m a moving target, in the field a lot, but I’m in Baltimore or Annapolis when I’m in the office.

I’m a research assistant and a study coordinator. I do both research and coordination, so I’m not sure which is a better title or if I should use both.

This takes place at a psychiatric center, btw.

At heart I’m a machinist and a tool maker. As a side job I still do some machining.

For the day job I’m a tooling consultant in a big factory CNC machine shop that makes medical parts. Anything you want to know about carbide tools? I’m your guy.

My last job was inventory control for raw materials, shop supplies, and other sundries for a 200 person factory. I know a hell of a lot about titanium and how to keep lines flowing through a factory.

Past lives; Navy firefighter, truck driver, ice cream shop, landscaping, cattle farmhand, EMT, and my all time favorite job was when I was in high school running a few games at a Six Flags amusement park.

Send me a Leinie’s…

I hate California.

Inky

My ‘career’ has been in data production and analysis, with a little programming thrown in. I was good, too!

But since my job was outsourced I’ve had no luck finding work in that field. So now I’m doing videography (‘Have camera, will travel!’ ) and we’re making a feature-length film. If the film sells, then I’ll get paid.

Really? What circuit?
