Did I tell you Mr Rebo and I have a date for Saturday night? All at our neighborhood bar - a BBQ fundraiser for our friend who tried to be a Good Samaritan. He tried to call a cab for a drunken patron, and got a broken jaw for his efforts. The asshole got to go to jail, and our friend will benefit from our fundraiser for his medical bills. After that, a comedian will grace the stage and FUN WILL BE HAD BY ALL. I GARE-OWN-TEE!

Aww, kaiwik! So many hugs for you; you’ve been in my thoughts. The first thing I thought of for a new place for you would be somewhere there is an actual growing season. I’m also partial to the east coast and/or mid-west; it would depend on how much snow you’d be willing to deal with.
I saw a video on you tube today that was soooo good and it made me think of FCM because it was a bunch of bengal kitties! I am so sorry that I don’t have a link 
but the main kittie is a bengal named Iris, and she is the owner of a Captain Kruse (I think). The video is about 8 minutes and shows the cats as secret agents, etc. It’s very well done, imho. And the cats are just a hoot!
I fell asleep earlier, and woke up just as the late news was coming on. Naturally, I thought it was Firday morning, time to get up. :smack: Now I’m going to wander off in search of Thursday night’s episode of FlashForward that I missed … TG it is now (technically) FIRDAY!

I was brave and went cycling last night for about 4 miles round the park again. It was good, better than last time and I hurt less so that must be a sign of progress. Afterwards we went into the park to feed the honking quacking birdies and saw mother moorhen with two fluffy l’il chicks in tow.
I’m glad it’s Firday at last, I have a meeting about invigilation for a rotational exam on Tuesday and then a day of more paper splitting to look forward to. Swampy, I need that axe!

I am a sort of hero in Cubeville 3.0. One cubemate brought in an old coffee pot, and the output smelled OK, but tasted awful. What has endeared me with them is my use of a general Doperism: I described the coffee as tasting like “rotten donkey butt”.

The weather’s no fun either right now. I stepped out to get the mail and all I could hear was the grind of dozens of air conditioners.

Got a couple of calls from future ex-SIL - the most recent telling me he was in FL. He said he’d call when he arrives in Orlando, which should be around 6 or so tonight, depending on traffic, I guess. Once I know he’s safely there, I can put him out of my mind.

sigh Everyone’s packing and cleaning. Me and my suitemate are staying later (me until Saturday, her for another week) and our stuff is in the way a bit. And because people are tired and focused they’re getting snappy. I’m attempting to stay out of it - it’s a bit easier because most of my kitchen stuff is packed and gone - there’s just food and my silverware left. It also helps that I’ve been helpful and considerate the last two semesters and my suitemate… hasn’t. As much.
