Yup. Left home Tuesday morning and has not been seen since. And thanks.
In Spanish we call that “plancharse la oreja”, “to iron your own ear”, because you end up feeling like the poor ear has gone all flat…
Missing-bro has been assigned to The Prayer List.
Jules (it’s a nickname in progress) prayers and good thoughts headed out for co-worker, family and bro.
Congrats on the new irk Nava!
Come on over Rebo, the water’s fine!
Just in from the cee-mint pond. My skin is soft.
Does everyone get nicknames in the MMP, swampy?
Yep.
Somebody want to come pack for me?
Sure ShinyCat! We’ll just throw it all in the back of twuck and take off burnin’ rubber. It’ll be fun to see how much stuff actually makes it!
Mini-burgers and N.O.T. sallit for an early dindin. 'Twas good!
Nice surprise on the front porch when I got home - the memory foam mattress pad I’d ordered from Overstock had arrived. It’s unrolled and airing out in the guest room. I can’t wait till I can put it on the bed.
Daughter has just left for her Thursday coffee. I’ve got laundry going. **FCD **and I have the house to ourselves tonight. Supper is whatever we find in the fridge. Glad tomorrow is Firday. I’m still debating whether to take Monday off or not. Right now, they’re predicting ick weather. If so, I’m going to the office. So we shall see.
That’s all I’ve got. Just another freekin’ day in paradise…
'course. Nicknames are cool, and we’re the cool kids, damnit!
Or something.
Getting it somewhere isn’t the problem. I just don’t want to pack it into boxes.
Had lunch/breakfast - banana, some powdered donuts, some raspberries, and a slice of chocolate cheesecake. Yum yum.
I hope they find him soon.
I’m outta here until Tuesday. See y’all next week.
Bye taxi!
ShinyCat that’s why we just throw it all in twuck. Lighter stuff on the bottom, heavier stuff on top. No boxes. No fuss. No muss. I call it Chuck ‘n Go Movin’. I’m thinkin’ of starting a bidness. It’ll make gazillions! Oh and I’m glad to see you are eating well-balanced meals. I worry.
Sorry about your friend’s brother, Jules. Good thoughts and prayers headed your way.
(I kinda like that nickname, by the way.)
Handbells sound like fun.
Brownies have been added to the blog.
Sorry about the annoyance at work, taxi. I’m going through something similar, having to re-justify a major project. Fortunately, I found that we underreported our projected cost savings the last time we did a detailed calculation, so I think they’ll still need to consider it. But I’ve spent the last 2 days at work writing the justification and arguing with my boss about it. And now have a headache that is slowly going away.
::waves bye at** taxi**::
Excellent balanced meal, STG; half fruit, half sweets.
Yay, Nava on the job!
Glad you’re getting a bit better, Puggy.
Stephen Fry tweeted a link to an excellent letter from the mother of a gay man who grew up in Vermont. Andrew Tobias (yeah, the investment guy) published it in one of his columns in 2000. Sad that it’s still applicable in too many places.
Off to consider some sallit for din din.
Back later.

Well, I’ve gotten one box packed. Apparently I only have one box to go to my storage unit. Well and the pile of kimono stuff that I haven’t folded and is buried under everything else.
Have I mentioned that I don’t want to pack?
I have read but retained little. My mind is so muzzy anymore, I hate that, but until things are resolved I don’t see that changing.
The big negative in my life is primarily the delay in my divorce. I just do not understand why he keeps dragging his feet when the marriage is so irrevocably over. It is driving me right around the bend, and I resent it, because this ought to be a happy time. grrrr…
There is some other bad news that I am going to keep to myself, because it is just too depressing to write about. I would appreciate prayers/thoughts/etc. for my mom and my two brothers.
Oh, and my subscription expired while I was broke, so now I am just a guest. I will re-up, but I suppose that I will lose my post count…
On the flip side, I have discovered that I may share this happy news with you all, as it won’t affect my divorce. My Grandfather left a trust for me, and while I am not rich, it is sufficient to change my lifestyle. When my son graduates I will have enough to get us off the island and back to the real world. I am ready for a new adventure, and while I love Washington State I am not certain that is where I wish to settle. So, there is a big country out there, I would love to hear some “Ya ought’ta settle in this state” recommendations.
Other than that, spring has sprung. It is a wild 43°F and raining, but I have some perennials blooming and others up and looking good. I am re-doing my flowers this year, the soil in my containers on the deck needs to be reconditioned and I have been cooking up some lovely compost for the last two years, so I need to pull the perennials out of them, dump the soil and mix it all up with the good stuff and replant everything. I have raspberries that I need to move into a sunnier spot, and I am moving the rhubarb to the front. My son-in-law has volunteered to build me a trellis around the deck, so I hope to spend more time out there.
I suppose this is long enough to touch base with you guys. My big check should be here next week, and I am sure that is going to calm my irritation with my soon-to-be-ex. I am especially looking forward to the look on his face when I pull up in my (sorta) new SUV! Is that bad of me? All things considered I think I am entitled to a little satisfaction at his expense.
Oh, and before I forget…N.O.T. sallit!
Wiki!
::hugs and a goose or 3::
You are such a romantic bobbio!
I love/need the attention, more please!
Hey, kai! Good thoughts and prayers for your family. And yay on the good news!
More good news: my cousin had surgery this morning and appears to be doing fine.
For those of you on facebook, there’s new functionalityso that you can get an e-mail if your account is accessed from an unknown computer. It’s supposed to help tell if your account has been hacked.
Off to beddie bye…

Hi kai! You don’t lose your post count if you resubscribe.
And even if you don’t…it’s still visible in your profile…
That’s great, kai. I hope that Alaska or Washington State (I thought you were in Alaska) is not a community property state…
