Unfortunately I don’t think these are uncommon feelings. I have some family that I’d like to disown myself.
Trump wins rural votes so it’s not surprising that early votes might go his way. Trump and republicans generally win wide geographic swaths of the country, but they lose the urban centers, and sometimes they lose them bigly. The one thing that makes me worried is talk of depressed African American turnout in some places. That seems to be a recurring problem and it could be a difference maker in some states. Still bullish on Clinton but I want her to win in the 300s.
I agree that it’s mostly the NYT version of click-bait.
AR for Trump.
And in a similar spirit, refreshing feverishly is doing nobody, least of all you, any good. There are still lots of votes to be cast and a lot to count, so do try to chill.
Trump inching ahead in Florida but Clinton up 1.1% in TEXAS with 46% counted?
Opposite Day
Well it’s certainly odd to see VA red and NC blue!
This is more or less the same as 2012, although Hillary is probably doing better at this point in the evening than Obama was.
For a brief moment at least, Clinton is ahead in Texas with almost half the vote in
MSNBC projects the GOP retains the House.
If Hillary takes Texas it will be the biggest electoral shocker of 20 years.
They also show a high probability of the Republicans keeping control of the Senate.
I don’t think it’ll happen, but it’d be hilarious if Trump won Florida but lost Texas.
538 just put the senate into 69% GOP.
From looking at a map on cnn.com, it looks like there’s a lot of rural Texas yet to report, so don’t get too excited.
Envious. We’re the ones stuck here with them.
Google doesn’t put percent reporting - that’s kind of annoying. Am I not seeing it?
I don’t know why I’m even watching the coverage. It’s giving me a stomach ache and I’m not even American.
Great, so if Trump wins then he will be somewhat limited in his lunacy, if Clinton wins you’ll have 4 (more?) years of a forcibly useless president.
