Let the lawsuits begin!
Breaking on CNN, Trump filing in Nevada over early voting due to polls staying open late for those still in line.
Try to be charitable. Father and son were probably both trying to figure out just what exactly you’re supposed to do here. Probably neither of them had ever done this democracy thing before. Today seemed like a good time to show how much they cared.
Has anyone been watching this to see updates? I haven’t actually noticed anything change, but now I’m going to document some of this so that I can see if they’re making updates:
As of right now, I see:
CO = 59.8% of expected votes observed, HRC leads 46.3% to 43.6% for DJT
FL = 52.4% of expected votes observed, HRC leads 48.6% to 45.2% for DJT
IA = 33.3% of expected votes observed, HRC leads 48.5% to 43.5% for DJT
NV = 46.2% of expected votes observed, HRC leads 46.7% to 45.2% for DJT
OH = 22.7% of expected votes observed, HRC leads 47.9% to 43.9% for DJT
PA = 3.4% of expected votes observed, HRC trails 42.9% to 49.9% for DJT
WI = 17.3% of expected votes observed, HRC leads 52.7% to 40.3% for DJT
It’s interesting to me that Jon Ralston believes 66+% of the Nevada vote is already in but VoteCastr only thinks 46.2% is in.

For me, there’s only one name you need to know: Nicole Wallace (MSNBC). Dayum. Her only defect is that she’s a Republican.
I realize a lot of people have voted early, but my heavily Democratic precinct had more poll workers than voters there. No wait in line, just went right in and voted.
I think the Democrats may have blown their wad early.
Just means the Republicans have to sleep on the wet spot.
…And they said so in 2012.
…And they said so in 2008.
…And they said so in 2004.
None of those claims are mutually contradictory.
Voting polls irregularities tracking article.
Don’t know what they can expect.
Do they really think a judge is going to say “You’re right. Throw out all those votes”? I guess they are just sowing seeds for the future “we was robbed” narrative but this seems like a weak one.
As has been the case all year long, there are only two likely outcomes: Either Hillary wins in a rout, or Trump wins narrowly.
On this voting-hour issue, I think the Trump campaign actually does have a legitimate complaint.
If you are going to keep the polls open past closing hours for one blue district, then they should be open equally past hours for all precincts, state-wide. Selectively allowing a blue district to keep voting past closing hours, but shuttering a red district’s polls on time, seems partisan.
voted at 9:30am in my polling place in Loudoun Country VA. Typically a blue county the last two contests, so interested to see how this goes for us. my vote was the 945 cast that morning (per the ballot machine) and the polls opened at 8am. So pretty brisk pace… but I was in and out in 15 min.
I’m hoping for the HRC blowout… but would settle for a 271 EV win…
Reminds me of that Daily Show episode when they were making fun of news stories every year saying “this is the worst season for allergies/pollen counts ever” and showed clips from the last 5 years. The punchline is an expert comes on stage and says they’re right, it’s been getting worse every year.
That said, I think this is more important to go one way than the previous few elections.
It’s updating. CO, for example, is now showing 72.2% of expected votes in. (HRC 47%, DJT 42%).
If no one is in line, the place is closed. If there is still a line, they are allowed to vote. No one is allowed to join the line after closing time.
How is that unfair?
Nevada state law stipulates that anyone in line when polls close will be allowed to vote, which is the only thing that is alleged to have happened. Unless there is evidence that either people were allowed to get in line after polls closed, or that people in red districts were made to leave despite being in line at closing time, there is no legitimacy to the complaint.
I’d agree with this if there were precincts that still had people in line who closed on time.
