No kidding. Eli Wallach alone should have been given the chance to make a speech at the Oscar ceremony. The man is a legend.
Yes, that’s why it bugged me too, thanks. It was downright cringeworthy to me when there was suddenly a huge groundswell of applause for some actor that got quickly cut off when somebody who worked just as hard and long in their career but behind the cameras flashed onscreen after that. It just smacked of shallow Hollywood power-rated air-kissing snobiness for all these people for one last time.
Edit: Looks like to be fashionable I have to buy a navy sparkly dress.

The Governor’s Awards looked amusing. I’m glad they showed that instead of a long drawn out segment for one person like they usually do.
Man, I’m bummed. I look forward to the Oscars every year, but it seems they just keep getting worse and worse. More and more painful to watch. Sigh. I shoulda’ gone to the Drive By Truckers show instead.
