Oh good Lord!!!! Not Nipples!!!!!!

That’s the type of thinking that assumes you know what is right for everyone.

So, in any debate, the side that disagrees with you is just “arguing” and your side is “correct”?

Seriously?

Actually, most of the debate has been centered around the trigger for that emotional response. Two primary ones have been proposed:

Context - wrong message board for that.
Content - as in not within the bounds of “normal” sexuality

Do you really think this?

Isn’t it possible that some of the things we’ve posted have some validity?

Me read more carefully? You are seriously making me laugh.

Go back and read the post of mine you quoted and then re-read your response.

I am and was fully aware of what that poster wrote in his/her post. Is there somewhere in my post that indicates I didn’t understand?

I rest my case.

I don’t know about that, but one thing is certain, I am too smart for you.

Yes, I probably do.

No. In this debate, in which a cursory examination of the actual poll responses and the posts responding to the original poll ended up so unequivocal, there is no point in arguing further. Now you and Fear Itself are trying to basically generate such a flurry of posts as to overwhelm the discussion because most of the people who were creeped out are not interested in continuing to defend against you guys’ implication that their response to the poll was incorrect.

Again, an example of your failure to really even understand what’s going on, which I think is why that other poster wondered if you had a pervasive developmental disorder.

At this point, absolutely.

Yes. You did not read his post carefully enough and you drew a conclusion that was insupportable.

This goes back to confirm what I said about preening over some imagined superiority to the regular people who aren’t as “rational” as you.

Holy shit dude! You are seriously making me laugh - you are getting more worked up and less coherent every second.

You don’t work at the post office do you?

Ok, this is a serious post, no need to respond to the “post office” post.

I would be interested in reading your explanation as to why I don’t understand what is going on.

The two items listed above have been mentioned by other posters (not the exact words, but a substantially similar meaning) - so it’s not like I just made them up.

I don’t know why you think I’m worked up. I’m more puzzled at this point. You and Fear Itself seem inexplicably driven to convince yourselves that the original poll was a perfectly normal thing to do. And you’re trying to prove this by asking questions even though the original thread was enough to make it clear what the target crowd’s consensus on it was. It’s like a kid getting an answer from mom that he doesn’t want and then asking it over and over in hopes that it’ll change next time.

I’m sorry you don’t understand why the thread went over badly and I’m sorry that you can’t understand the numerous explanations other people have offered. The original thread answered all these questions.

This reminds me of a scene from “NYPD Blue” where the detectives are interviewing a man who spends a lot of time at strip clubs. (I’d say “way too much time,” but I don’t want RaftPeople to think I am making unsupported judgments about the norms of appropriate time spent in gentlemen’s clubs.)

Anyway, the strip-club patron reveals that he has thoroughly studied women’s breasts and developed a detailed system of nomenclature to describe them. When asked to describe the stripper who was missing or suspected of a crime or whatever, he can describe almost nothing except her breasts (the phrase he used was something like “classic champagne-glass shape” or something like that).

The man and his detailed, almost obsessive study of breasts was clearly meant to be seen as sad and creepy.

I don’t know exactly why Fear Itself created such a detailed poll, and I’m certainly not comparing him to the loser on TV. But I do offer the scene as an example of sexual interest being taken to an extreme that makes it seem awkward.

That’s why.

Oh don’t worry, I saw that show - that guy was a creep.

Damn! What a ‘train wreck’ this turned out to be! :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not at ALL what I’d planned, but heck. … as long as people are “having fun”.

Train wrecks are tough to predict.

I just showed my girlfriend the nipple poll - she laughed.

Heh heh. :stuck_out_tongue:

I concur and second that!

I’m still wondering what the ‘parameters’ are for a “freakish proportion”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Aren’t they, though?

So did my SO.
