Hey, Kids. Daddy’s home! Anyone miss me? The rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated, though the rumor that I was leaving the board was not. Actually, if it weren’t for feeling guilty about leaving you all wondering, I probably wouldn’t be back, now. I’ve discovered it is possible to break the addiction. But, I do apologize for the unexpected absence. Real life got to be a little rough, and it was all I could handle, for a while. And, the thread was actually making things worse, by tossing in an added layer of confusion.
It looks like most of you survived, just fine, though. And, thanks, if6was9, for keeping the thread alive while I was gone. Thank you to all the folks who emailed me, too, wondering if I’m okay. I am, I guess. Sorry some of you aren’t feeling well, either physically or emotionally.

Don´t worry about taking a days or weeks long hiatus, I for one can relate to it, as I am known to do so myself (going “home” and not having access to the internet there). But yeah, hopefully you do stick around and / or always come back

mipiace knowing that we want to go to italy is as far as we’ve gotten. my dad has this fantasy of renting a villa in tuscany. we’d piggyback if he did, but knowing him, it’ll never happen. we’re open to recommendations…
On my way home now…I’ll think about it and see if I can fish up some links tomorrow for you…Tuscany is beautiful really. Don’t go in August everything is closed (literally - the entire country!!)
I can reccommend a lot of things to see. Food is awesome countryside spectacular, the wine, the lifestyle…I am so in love with the country and I have really been missing it a lot lately. This thing with Studmuffin has just gotten me feeling all homesick. I am really an American but I don’t feel at home here. I feel more at home in Europe…and want to go back. 
But that’s another story. More tomorrow but I have to go home now…buona fortunata con tua classa! (Good luck with class!)

LOL!!! I had forgotten that. A few years ago our company sold a couple systems to a company in Italy, Torino I think. We had to get the president of their company, who was… connected… to receive the shipments the first week of august. The WHOLE country just closes for a month!
