Of all the fictional people from novel and movies. Which one would you choose?
Me?
Don Quixote de Lamancha.
He had it all. A Goal in life he knew would better the world. The beautiful Dulcinea to dedicate his deeds of valor.
A trustworthy friend and companion in Sancho Panza.
In each of his exploits. he ignored social convention and remains faithful to his fantastic vision of the world.
I most admired his innate goodness and unwavering commitment to chivalry
Can I pick Dirk Diggler? He had a big weenie. That’d be nice to try.
The first thing that came to mind is…
<insert theme music>
James Bond
The women, the world travel, the adventure…
Oh to be 007!
Screeme
I’d have to go with Ford Prefect. Really cool stuff happening to me all the time and a very mild cheerful attitude to go with it.
The first ones that came to my mind were Dirk and James Bond. Now I gotta think harder. And we all know how painful that can be.
I’d have to go back to my comic book days and go with DareDevil for no reason except that he was my favorite. Sure he’s blind, but man can he swing through the city. And he can kick the crap out of that fat King Pin dick-weed.
Especially when they are eventually rescued.
Well definetly not harry potter I’ll tell you that much.
Anybody
well, I’d have to say God, just cause he’s been around so long and I guess the whole creator of the universe, all powerful and omnicent stuff and thingos wouldn’t be bad.
Hmmm, tough choice. Of course, there’s Scrooge McDuck. It would be nice to have a huge tower full of money to swim in. C. Montgomery Burns also is incredibly wealthy and devoid of personal morals, which could be a plus. No darn conscience to weigh me down. But, I wouldn’t have as much fun being rich as I would fighting crime as The Green Lantern!! I’ve just always wanted a power ring like that.
Jeez, my immediate thought was the hero of one of those picaresque soft-porn novels who goes about the countryside having sex with all and sundry. Trouble is, the only images I’m getting is of FEMALE heroes…Candy, Justine, etc.
Maybe Jurgen? From the James Branch Cabell novel of the same name?
I can’t remember much about Jurgen and I read the book! Most of the crowd won’t even know what you are talking about. Why Jurgen?
Definitely Sherlock Holmes, who is my hero in just about every way (discounting the heroin thing. . . )
Either Indiana Jones or Homer J. Simpson.
Lazarus Long, from Heinlein’s future history–living thousands of years, doing everything interesting, and getting laid enough to be an ancestor of the majority of the human race…Yeah, I could go for that!
Tannim, from the books by Mercedes Lackey. Can you imagine working with elves? on cars? and racing? and you get to cool stuff like talk to ghost and practice magic? wow!!! I coudlnt’ think of a better way to live!
Leaving blood trails everywhere your knee touches? Getting 3-foot long talons shoved through your chest? Owning the Hospital Bed from Hell because you often can’t move?
On the other hand, he does get to sleep with Shar…
Sign me up!
What can I say, I llike a little adventure and action in my life!
I thought Sherlock did cocaine, but of course, I’ve been wrong before.
As for me, I’d like to be Han Solo. Get to fly in a spaceship, have a big hairy Wookie to watch my back when I get in a fight, stuff like that.
Jack Ryan- The wholesome family life, plus a fantastic career filled with intrigue and adventure.
Batman-Bazillionaire with the coolest toys. yeah his parents were brutally murdered but i could deal…
Hannibal Lecter- just out of curiousity to see how the mind of an evil genius works.
The Tick-He’s cool
I’d be Hiro Protagonist from Snow Crash, just because he has a cool name.
And he chops people heads off and stuff.
Whoo Hoo!!! go Tick!!
