I have a feeling these will end up in the public anyway. The books have already been printed, they just haven’t been released yet. I don’t know how many were in the first run, but I’m sure it wasn’t a small number. They won’t just destroy them. And the TV interview has already been taped. I’m sure it will end up somewhere…
It’s been ready for release, waiting for the TV interview to kick it off, but was not actually on the shelves yet.
I give it a week to YouTube, tops.
So, what will they do with the copies that have already been printed?
But, wait! How will we ever find out, now, how O.J. would have done it, had he, in fact, done it!
All the things I attributed to Greta Van Sustren, seemed to be guesses, educated or otherwise. She also added that maybe 400,000 copies were on the way to bookstores when the book was canceled.
So they’ll see daylight. But who cares.
The only thing I would like to to read about OJ is his obituary. And the sooner the better.
Neither applies in this case. It’s profit motive (which is more business sense than of the common variety). While the book and TV special would have drawn viewers, I would suspect that the network would have lost advertisers and fan base. Murdoch is not about to jeopardize his position in the entertainment biz to satisfy some asshole’s ego.
Unless the asshole’s ego is Murdoch’s.
The only thing more pathetic than OJ are his sleazeball lawyers, whining about how his (OJ’s) freedom of speech was supressed!
And Murdoch-the only thing this whore regrets is the $1.5 million advance he’s out!
The OJ lawyer I saw interviewed, moaned that there were a lot of other books that are much worse than OJ’s. Too bad the commentator didn’t have the presence of mind to put the shyster to the test:
Newscaster: (Leading him on) A lot of them, huh?
Sleazeball: Oh yes.
Newscaster: Much, much worst?
Sleazeball: Certainly.
Newscaster: (Deadpan) Name three.
There’d have been a lot of harrumphing going on.
This NPR audio report says the money, something over 3 million, is to be paid to a third party for the benefit of the children. Apparently the money is yet to be paid, but there is some talk that there will be a suit filed if it’s not paid.
I haven’t checked, but there are supposed to be copies of the book for sale on eBay.
Well-played, sir.
Just checked, under “O J Simpson” and “If I Did It”. None so far.
Unless they’re giving one away free with every PS 3!
I don’t know if the TV show will ever see the light of day, but someone will sell the book eventually. And, people will buy it. Not me, but lots of other people will.
There is one copy now on eBay. The current bid is up to $272.35 US. I’m not so crass as to link to it. I’ll let anyone who wants to see it search for themselves.
