Crap. I mangled your quote whilst coding it up. Sorry 'bout that. The missing parts are: (ri
Hey, Casey!
Chill, Dude. I wasn’t entirely serious, but it did seem that you meant something along the lines of the last scene from Mallrats.
I searched for rape and funny so I could find the JarbabyJ thread I linked to. I remembered the thread, I just had to get the link somehow.
Prison justice is an ugly thing, rape or not.
And I even screwed up the coding.:smack:
Blonde, what do you mean by the rules?
And this IS pit!
Oh, God
This is the pit.
You left out castrate the F*cker.
Smee heard it was groping/fondling.
Search for “the gropers” / “a disfunctional dixie christmas”
Good album. Stems from this. sorry no link…
She’s apparently still of an age where a stranger can convince her to wander off with him with shocking ease. The actual age is immaterial. It’s the fact she’s obviously not yet reached the level of maturity by which she could fend for herself or at least recognize a threat.
Until that time her parent or guardian has a moral obligation to protect her from harm.
While I won’t get in to the ‘deserved’ justice dispute, I would like to put my $0.02 in here.
I don’t believe pedophilia is curable. I believe that it is similar to an addiction, and one of the main requirements of rehabilitation is willpower. Now, don’t twist my words. I AM NOT likening people with any type of substance abuse problem to the inhuman freaks that prey on children.
I am not willing to risk my future children’s well being over whether or not one sick individual has the willpower to keep themselves from relapsing into depravity. Especially if, as was mentioned above, this type of behavior is hardwired into the brain from an early age. I would think that would make the urges much more powerful than the physical and mental urges that drive a substance addiction. And, if logic follows, a lot less easier to overcome. As for the monster in the OP, these urges must have been very, very strong in order for him to stalk this little girl and assault her in this very public setting, considering the risk of being caught was very high.
I for one am not willing to gamble with my child or any other. I am not willing to accept that there is any chance that he may hurt another child. And there is no guarantee that anyone in the corrections department, the medical field, or his own damn mother can make to change my mind. If never being allowed to come near another child means life in prison, so be it. But neither do I want to support him for the next 50 years either. It’s a catch-22.
I think that fact that we have so many damn prisoners says an awful lot about our civilized society.
This response is full of WAGs and assumptions, but I would think that it would be appropriate to teach your son that, if approached by someone claiming to be a security guard, he should tell the “guard” he wants to go get you. I would assume that a legitimate security guard would want to talk to you. If, however, the “guard” resisted this suggestion, then your son would be right in resisting as vociferously as possible; i.e., if a strange man says, “Come with me kid, no, I don’t want to talk to your parents,” teach him to scream “NOOOOO!” in a shopper-alarming manner.
Does this make sense?
An arrest was made today (Wednesday).

I was always taught that it was best to scream “FIRE!” rather than “No!” or even “Help!” because the shouts of “FIRE!” are sure to draw more attention. “NOOOOO!” could just be little Johnny pitching a fit because Mommy won’t buy him candy or a toy or something. Yelling “FIRE!” is much more uncommon in a store (or on a busy street, for that matter) and will likely result in attention coming faster.
Of course, anything is better than just going along with a “security guard” unchallenged and without your parents. Intimidation is such an effective weapon when used on children…
Thanks for the link, Janie Jones - the story suggests he may have done this before, at a Walmart (like we needed any more reasons to avoid Walmart).
Glad they found the MF.
He`s been caught.
And how does this differ from people who kill other people?
Convicted child molesters must register for life (in many states) whereas murderers do not.
Yes, I (as any other parent) would like to know if a child molester lives in my neighborhood. I would also like to know whether a murderer is living in my neighborhood. Will murderers ever be forced to register? I doubt it.
Oh, and by the way, in many states, arsonists are also required to register. But not murderers. Go figure.
I’m just saying, child molesters aren’t the only type of criminal there is to worry about. Granted they are scum, and should be monitored. But death? Nope. I don’t agree. {Disclaimer: I am a convicted sex offender. Flame if you must.}
Two questions:
-
How did they ID him from the grainy video so fast?
-
Why do so many male criminals have the middle name “Dwayne”?
Hmmm. Now that I think about it, I’ve never met a Duane I’ve liked…
:dubious:
Do you really think a gang of prison thugs cares anything at all about justice? I think it more likely a convenient excuse to practice brutality.
It is true that inmates convicted of sex offenses are on the low rung of prison ‘society’. I find it very strange that prison rapists are not.
Anyway, I’m glad they made an arrest. Hope they got the right guy.
I never said that the prison “system” of justice was the same as regular society’s system of justice.
Didn’t the guy tell her he was a security guard?
Yes, I believe that was the case.
