OK. I give up. Why all the hate on Guinastasia?

I haven’t noticed too much hate for Guinastasia, although I’ve definitely noticed it on occasion. I suspect the frequency of her posting and (presumed, cf Crafter_Man’s post) laziness. Didn’t Liberal have some bafflingly heavy contempt for her? But he’s been gone a while now.

[hunch] I think I’ve noticed some inter-board issues, so at least some of what you perceive could have originated elsewhere. [/hunch]

In the past, we used to be able to REALLY insult other posters in the Pit. Pile ons and (my fave) reverse pile ons were a normal weekly happening. Some people got the idea that Guin would never post her opinion in a pile on until the majority position became very clear. I really don’t think this was a true and fair assessment, but it did seem to get on certain posters tit.

I was always annoyed by useless, misleading, or wrong googled posts that was common about that time. Seems to have been a contest to see who could post the first info on a GQ subject, even if it was a weak or wrong post.

Pay To Post really changed all these board dynamics, but it seems that some holdover attitudes continue from pre P2P SDMB.

imho, ymmv, ianagl

Yea no grok the hate either

Monstro’s right; I’ve noticed it too. I’ve been here a few years now and even then this impatience with her was already a topic. Something must have happened a while back.

I haven’t been to any of the snark boards for at least five years or so now, and I never did visit them much, but in my few moments of poking around way back when I was bored enough to need things to fill my spare time (ah…memories), I remember that the hate for her there was virulent - far more common and nastier than it’s ever gotten here. I never did figure out what it was all about.

I think some of it is rooted in the October Revolution.

But that may just be Bolshevik.

Meg Griffin never did me any harm.

I’m learning a lot about how long grudges are held here

Oh, that’s it, buddy! You’re on my list!

No, it’s because she cheated on her husband with his best friend.

This, I can refute. My epilepsy is under control, and as is my OCD. (No seizures in almost two years! :D) knocks on wood
And yes, I have worked at my father’s funeral home. Right now, I have yet to FIND a job. However, I do not discuss my job searches anymore.

Yes, I was laid off. The science center was laying off others, and while I can’t comment, I do suspect it was partly due to the fact that I missed a lot of work because of health issues. (My meds were being adjusted, and I was having constant seizures)

Basically, when I graduated from college, I was HOPING to go to grad school, but that wasn’t to be.
Zoid, I’m no longer a ginger. I got bored with the red and let it grow out. Now I’ve gone back to my natural brown. I’m thinking of going with a lighter shade of brown, but I haven’t decided.
Yes, I live at home. No, I do not sit around all day. I have friends, but once again, I do not drive. (Yes, my seizures are controlled, but I’m not going to take the chance – I saw my grandfather get into far too many accidents. If I were to hurt someone, I’d never forgive myself. The bus is fine.) I consider myself “transportationally challenged”. Not to mention, not too much money.
My family is fine with it, and I contribute in other ways than financially, which, quite frankly, are none of your business.
Crafter_Man – meh. That’s your right.
All right, you may now rip that apart.

Thank you for being cautious about driving. My husband and kids were hit head on by someone who had previously controlled seizures and crossed the center yellow. My family walked away, though looking at the car, I don’t know how.

It’s okay, we’ll take you to the vet and get that fixed up.

What about the rack?

For me, its as simple as the fact that she’s a Steelers fan. A loathsome, contemptible lot they are, too.

And a Penguins fan.

I did it just to fit in.

The team or the birds?

Take pity upon the Pirates.
