I kinda noticed that Guin seemed to inspire testiness in some people but not all-out hate. I never have had any problems with her.
Of course, now this thread is off of hatin’ on Guin & onto lustin’ on her! Rowwwwr!
Since everyone keeps bringing her up, I’m surprised no one’s noticed that like Guin, lindsaybluth lives here in Pittsburgh too.
I have also noticed that some people do treat Guin like the Meg Griffin, and I don’t get it. She’s not obnoxious and she’s not a bigot and she’s not an agenda flogger. So she’s not constantly posting deep, thoughtful, meaningful stuff. What a crime.:rolleyes:

I do believe this is the first time I’ve seen a Pit thread morph into a lust thread. 
I live in the vicinity of Pittsburgh, and having met Guin I found her pleasant and friendly. It’s nice to see another Steeler fan out there.
I’ve seen many a pitting turn into a love thread, but lust? Quite possibly a first. I say we start a trend. With pics.

This Pit thread has a distinct lack of vitriol and R.O. That pisses me the fuck off. I hate you all equally. :mad:
But as lorene stated – and I hinted above – the perception of spoiled brattiness was merely the icing on the cake. The poster in question was pitted for being a judgmental and unsympathetic asshole; her status as a rich-kid (and the attendant tone deaf, out of touch behavior) was merely a vector for ridicule.
I mention this only to ensure that the “record” doesn’t stand that the pitting of Lindsay Bluth was unreasonable.
Everyone could start hating Guin due to the lack of cleavage in the pictures.

Anyway, like others have said, once you get a reputation around here it’s a bit hard to shake off. I should know. I had a deserved reputation around here for flirting, which I never thought to be a problem, but now I think I have finally shaken the reputation, long after I cut flirting waaaaaaaay down. (Now I only do it if someone else does it first.)
Plus it helps that I don’t care anymore if someone does say it to me - same with Guin, I think. She’s learned to be like a penguin and let it roll off her back. Or some such appropriate metaphor.
And it really pisses me off that I cannot write four paragraphs without my computer freezing up for 2-10 seconds, like it does every five minutes or so.
