Ok, I'll start this week's MMP

Third tip: hubby should stand behind you & stand perpendicular to you. This should give him a 2-3 step advantage iffn he doesn’t do it right & you wanna whack him one.

The scrap man that I sold the cans to is the same one I buy my silverware from. I wouldn’t want to do anything to jeopardize our business relationship and/or to make him think I’m trying to pull something over on him by bringing wet cans. If it was someone less important, I would have done as you suggested. However, as it was, there were quite a few cans in the bags that had as much as 1/4 cup water in them on top of the water that drained out the bottom of the bag where I had poked holes to help with the problem.

gotti for even more fun mail soup in those little take out Chinese food containers!

MOOOOOOM offerin’ ice cream and then givin’ soup is mean! :stuck_out_tongue:

Poke chops are bakin’ away. I shall also make some cornbread cause I want me some. Succotash and parsnips shall be the vegetative matter. YUM!

I had an early supper of leftover sketty sauce on pasta since I didn’t have much of a lunch. Now I’m going to empty the dishwasher and assume the knit position till my eyes won’t stay open.

MWAH!

Howdy Y’all! Home from Even Song over to the church house. 'Twas a nice service as usual. I really like Even Song which is the Evening Prayer service set to music. Nice!

Ok that’s all I got. Shortly I shall lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

If I went to that service, would it be Odd Song instead? :stuck_out_tongue:

I was comfy on the recliner, working on a lap blanket. Then I got company

I just had to share.

Good evening all. I think I’m caught up, although I’m not sure I retained much.

Hugs to all who need 'em.

Glad you’re home again, tugig. I’m sure CT wasn’t fun.

I have lots of things I look forward to: meetings and social events with my fellow park volunteers, weekends when my nephew comes up to stay with us, book group every 6 weeks or so, early spring, the part of spring and summer when my daylilies are blooming, other things I’m forgetting.

Have bought the last of my work presents, I think. I’m hoping to get cards done tomorrow and finish decorating after the rain and snow move through here.

Feeling sleepy. Maybe I’ll make it a very early night.

Hugs all.

Hi GT!

I have survived a pre-Christmas trip to WalMart!

Swampy, look away at what I’m about to say. We had about 1 whole roll and two partial rolls of toilet paper here in our three bathroom house.

While I was there I also finished my Christmas shopping for the HFUNs. I don’t know if it was every year, but I know that D liked to buy board games for the family to play for Christmas so I got Settlers of Catan, family edition. When I was at Ikea awhile back I also got this coolframe and I’ve just printed off my pictures tonight and I have to try to decide which 7 of the 10 that I picked out will work best.

Now that I’m home I have to set up the recently relocated bookshelf in my bedroom because all of the books are currently sleeping in my bed. So I guess I’d better get off of here and get to it!

You are a braver mine than I am, Gunga Din.

My visit to Target today was easier than anticipated.

ETA: First on three and four. What are the odds?

I’m up early although I doubt I will stay this way
so Happy Thursday to everyone.

No trips to wal-mart for me although I do need to go to pets-mart sometime soon.
When it comes to household stuff we have two people here who actually love to go to wal-mart, even this time of year. Both of them tell me I’m the crazy one. Go figure!

My shopping is mostly done, waiting for the last few things to be delivered. Still got the wrapping to do. I need to go grocery shopping and next week I have to brave the MVA to get sah-kid his learner’s permit so he can start the driving part of driver’s ed. Joy and happiness, we luvs the MVA.

Nothing like a nyquil hangover to start the day… ugh. But I’m up, dressed, in the office, and I just finished my breakfast sammich.

Our idiot dog is weird about wearing a collar. **FCD **put it on her last night, and she pouted - really! When he takes it off, she’s all bouncy and playful, but with it on, she lies around all mopey, doesn’t want to go outside, doesn’t want treats. It’s not tight at all - I can easily slip a couple if fingers between the collar and the dog. Maybe it’s just too stiff - maybe we need to get something softer. I don’t know - she’s still an idiot!

I’m gradually feeling worse and I’m dreading this trip to FL. What to do, what to do…

Speaking of family, good thought for my mom today - she’s having carpal-tunnel surgery - at least some sort of outpatient procedure. She claims the doc told her she’d have no therapy and no restrictions afterwards, which is nice, but she is nearly 79. And my BIL is out of CCU - my sister is hoping they can get him into Rehab soon, but they may have to keep him in the hospital till after Christmas. We shall see.

**sari **- I actually don’t hate the MVA down my way. We have a small office in Loveville, and they’re pretty efficient. But thinking back to when I got my license - good grief - over 40 years ago!!! Anyway, I had to go all the way to Glen Burnie from Towson and wait in line forever - appointments? It is to laugh!! Even when we moved back here, I braved the Waldorf office because I was too dumb to know that there was one only 5 miles away from me. I’ve learned.

Time to do something constructive. Happy Thursday. rah.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Belated blurf.

A cool thing happened yesterday at irk. After two years on this helicopter project, I finally got to see one in flight and doing it’s stuff. All other encounters have been with vehicles on the ground and the turbines cold.

Happy virtual Firday. I will relish my 5 day weekend.

For you Mumpers in the path of the blizzard, I feel for ya. I’ll take the green Christmas instead.

Tis Thursday. Last day of work for me till after da Holly-days. Ah the 'marts. I had successfully blocked from my brain that I shall have to visit two of them this weekend. The mart of walls and the mart of pets. Thankfully there shall be no mart of K, though I almost wish there was a mart of S.*

Shop smart, shop S-Mart!
I am so smart S-M-R-T

Hee-hee

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, brekkied and at irk. It started off a chilly 35 Amurrkin this mornin’ with a predicted high of 63 and an afternoon of tstorms.

I got to irk at a quarter of seven this mornin’ to help cook brekkie. Aigs, bacon, sausage, grits (cheese grits!), pancakes and bizkits. I fried five pounds of yummy, yummy bacon! BACON! BACON! BACON! ‘Twas a good brekkie enjoyed by all. I was amazed at how it all got done so efficiently. We be a team. Even more amazin’ is the fact that the break room is all cleaned up now. Of course it smells like bacon and bein’ as I am across from there, my orifice smells like bacon. Now I have little smokie sausages simmerin’ away in bbq sauce in a slow cooker.

MOOOOOOM prayers and good thoughts headed out to your mom. Yay on BIL bein’ out of CCU. Here’s hopin’ he gets in rehab and gets home soonest.

BBBobbio

Ok, back to irk.

FCM Good luck to your mom with her surgery.

I’m afraid it may be the GB office, I don’t know if any of the other offices do learner’s permits. I should call, well, no, I should look it up online because if I call I will get a live person who won’t know their burro from a burrow and I’ll get all kinds of bad information. Last time I renewed my license there it took almost 4 hours, funny how they were only calling 5-6 numbers an hour until almost quitting time at which point they called 10 numbers in 20 minutes.
I just luvs the MVA.

What is this blizzard and who is in it’s path? I’ve got a ton of pet sitting next week I don’t want no damn snow!

Mawnin all,

Irked at the Casa de Rock last night and it was good. Good enough that I put a band sticker on my skid lid. Welcome to “Fox & Cats” lid.

Thats all I got need caffinating and rumbly tummy control

Remember tis only hours till the Mayapocalypse :smiley:

Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This… is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart’s top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That’s right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It’s got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That’s right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?
