Way back in April 2001, I posted this thread. As a result, I met my first and to date only person from this message board.
So now the question is, who’s next? I’m talking about a drink, coffee, lunch, dinner, whateva.
I live in Maryland, and I work in the District. Seems there are a few of us floating around. I might go over to the DC Lunch Bunch thread one of these days and check it out, too.
This weekend, I’m working on getting a new car, and running errands and the like that I’m too lazy to do during the week. But I could be convinced to do otherwise.
Next weekend, I’ll be in NJ, celebrating my parents’ 33rd anniversary.
So maybe the following weekend could be doable! Or other dates. I’m flexible, but only figuratively.
I’d love to meet you, dear, but logistics make it impossible. Alas…WA state is a bit far. But who knows? I hope to make it out there one of these days to visit my NY and Chicago and DC area friends…while I am hopping around that side of the country I might as well stop in Maryland too!
Hell, Dan, I’ll meet you. You couldn’t live more than, what, fifteen minutes away? We outta see if we can get John Corrodo to show up too and have a little Laurelite dopefest.

Nothing better than a hug, hon, and since I live in the PNW…MOST hugs end up being rain hugs~ so here is one back! (And another to be redeemed whenever I get out that way)
I’m not familiar with it, no, but I could probably locate it. Trouble is, next weekend I’m heading up to New Jersey for an anniversary celebration, and I’ll likely leave early on Friday. Guess I’ll need a rain check too! Definitely another time, though.

Dantheman, if you recall I have the same name as yours (I mentioned this in the thread you started about what do dopers names make you think of). Unless I’m transgendered I wouldn’t be describing myself as a man if I wasn’t.
Also I feel like a dumbass now because I forgot that I’m taking my girlfriend out for her birthday on Friday. So how 'bout next Friday? Or if you’re going to Chance’s party I could just see you there. Oh, and if Aguecheek’s reading this; please don’t mention my screwup to your wife. They do talk after all.
