Have the hoochi-H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Redskinettes left yet?
I’m off until August 21st. Guess thats not what you really wanted to hear eh? Oh well, its not like I can sleep in every day when I have a wee one pulling my arm to get out of bed.
Also I should mention that I was sorely disappointed today, as well as put on the spot. It was strongly hinted on Thursday and Friday that we would get to leave early today. I came in and asked a cow-orker if this would really happen: “I dunno.” Lunchtime comes and goes; I ask the boss’s assistant if we will be leaving early, “I dunno; you could ask the boss.” A whisper goes around that the other department is closing up an hour early. I ask the assistant again, and she asks the boss on my behalf. Boss: “Oh, we can’t leave early; we’re doing the quarterly closing this week! Do you want to leave early?..Are you sure? If you have plans…ok…are you sure? Okay!” So now I look like a slacker who wants to get an early start on her par-te time. Under no circumstances except mortal illness or a grave personal crisis would I leave before everyone else; I just wanted to know what to plan for. Funny how no one knew about this crucial quarterly closing last week when they were painting glorious pictures of a half-day.
Actually I was up at 6:30 a.m as I usually am, and yes, dragged myself into work. Enthusiastic? Not exactly, but that’s the way it goes. I’m a proud government worker who, yes again, provide service to the public.
Kwitcherbitchin’. Cops, hospitals, businesses, military and all sorts of average working stiffs hauled the load today.
And librarians, too.

Bravo TV. I’m a government employee, and as I said in my previous post, WHAT holidays? I SPIT on your holidays! I used about ONE holiday last year. Worked all the major holidays. Kwityerbitchen indeed.
Add computer operations/support people to that list…working 2330 to 0830 Monday night and 2330 to 0830 Tuesday night…Last holiday I got was…??? I think I had Thanksgiving, but only because Thurs and Fri are my normal days off…

I was suppose to leave early to, but the figures for last month came in, there was some problems and I had to do some research make the numbers better! so I worked until 5:30pm.

I took Monday as a personal day off just so I could go and have some more chunks of cancer cut off my damn tongue. Believe me, I would have much preferred to have worked. And I saw a few people who would love to be dealing with just some chunks off the tongue-------so, quitchabitchin.
Nope, I didn’t go in to work today. I don’t go in to work any day. I wake up to work every morning. I get up between 7 and 7:30 every morning and whaddaya know…I’m at work. I don’t get coffee breaks. I don’t get lunch breaks. I don’t get vacations. I don’t get holidays. I don’t get medical insurance. I don’t get a 401(k). As a matter of fact, I don’t get paid.
I’m a housewife. I’m raising three kids. I never go off duty. I am at work while I’m eating, while I’m sleeping, and while I’m posting to the boards.
So sorry about my complete lack of sympathy. Well, you know, except for that sympathy for anyone who ever has to work anywhere. Meaning everyone. But you see what I’m saying.
Well, yeah, I got to sleep in on Monday, but seeing as I had just worked from 6 PM Sunday evening to 8 AM Monday morning, I think it’s allowed. Also, I got to sleep in today too, but I have to go to work at 6 PM tongight, just when all the fun stuff gets started.
I have traffic detail for tonight’s festivities. Yay.
I work at home as a translator, so I get to sleep and wake up as laaaaaaate as I want.
