So who is working tomorrow?

Me.

I have no plans other than working 2 -7. And maybe walking 5 miles home if the weather is still warm enough at that hour.

What am I going to eat? Who knows? I might stop at the local IHOP for eggs and pancakes.

I have no life.

My wife’s going out of town to visit her sister. That’s fine with me, and I’m on a project right now, so I’ll probably spend at least a couple of hours working.

My daughter will be working at McDonald’s. She says they’ll get time and a half, so she’s happy about it.

I’m a pet sitter. I have pets to check in on in the morning, but that’s it.

When I was very young I worked at a parking garage that had to be open 24/7/365 due to hotels nearby. When we worked on Thanksgiving we got double-time-and-a-half, so I was always happy to work the day shift, off at 4:00 and then race to my parents to get still-fresh leftovers (and sympathy).

Now I’m retired, so a holiday is no big whoop any more.

I’ll be working. I have to send next year’s billing adjustments by 11/30 and I have approximately 20 hours of work left to get those ready. On top of everything else that really needs to get done…

I work everyday.

I thought “It’ll be Thursday, why wouldn’t I be working?” then I realized that Annie-Xmas is American. Ah, Thanksgiving.

Back in my retail days when I worked at a pet store I told the boss to book me in by myself on holidays. (They usually booked two people in for a couple hours when the store was closed.) It would take me twice as long to look after all the animals at time-and-a-half. Gotta love spending Christmas morning cleaning up shit.

Not working Thu. Being senior has its advantages. Will probably work the upcoming Sunday though. And did work the most recent Sunday 3 days ago.

I will be chief cook on Thu and that’ll be a bunch of effort. Fun effort, but effort nevertheless.

Me, noon to 8. I normally work 3-11 pm, but somebody is having an early Thanksgiving with his family so I’m coming in early to cover for him.

Working 10PM-6AM both tonight and tomorrow night. But I have the time in between to take a nap and go see family.

1800-0200, followed by 0900-1700 Friday.

Back to work at 4:30 am until about 1pm-ish when everything is put away & we’re all loaded up to go back to our cars.

I will be going to, and be at, work noon-10pm. I guarantee you that no actual work will be done however…unless by “work” you mean watch cartoons/nap/read the dope all afternoon…of course, if something blows up, then there will be plenty of hectic work.

Working all day tomorrow, as per usual. All of my colleagues will be at work as well. Oh wait.

I’m Canadian.

Never mind. Happy (late) thanksgiving to y’all.

I am. A co-worker today (yesterday) wished me a happy holiday, and I said thanks, but as long as I’m wearing this (the company) jacket, I can’t help but be happy.

Me. I’m Australian. We don’t do Thanksgiving downunder.

I’m working 4am-noon. Doubletime baby!

At work until 7am.

But then I’ve got my 4 days off.

I am going to be going in. For the past couple of years, I had been able to head home to celebrate Thanksgiving, which was kind of fun, but I switched jobs this year, and you don’t get your choice of holidays as the new-ish kid.
